Ink has never really understood stuff like societal norms and the like. Heck, he didn't even know what time was for...an embarassingly long time. He just popped up one day and started working; his job has never really involved dealing with individual incodes either.
When Dream meets Ink, he's rather appalled by how much Ink doesn't know about the actual world. He soon makes it his mission to teach Ink more.
And the first step is actually being in a world.
One mental breakdown, several accidents, and one annoyed Error later, and they're finally at a mall.
And apparently Ink's been eating Tide pods thinking they were yummy snacks.
Oh dear.
