Chapter; Sixty

Violence

"Wait... You bought a muffin?"

Hailey asked in surprise as she saw Draco standing outside her room waiting for her. The boy raised a brow as they started walking out. "I thought you said you wanted one."

"I did... I just didn't think you'd actually bring one." She said with a small shrug. "Why one? You don't like muffins?" Hailey asked after she noticed there was only one muffin when he passed it to her

"I do-"

"Wanna have half?" She asked before opening the wrapper. "I don't mind sharing." Sharing was a thing she learned growing up. When she was a kid her aunt and uncle barely bought them anything. And when they did, they had to share. Didn't matter if it was food or clothes. One of the most common fights Hailey and Harry had was over sharing food. That was probably why she had a habit of sharing... Even though she didn't like to.

"You share your things with others?" Draco asked as they walked down the stairs.

"Sometimes." Hailey shrugged. "It's a sign you care about someone."

"You care about me?"

"Of course I do. If I had a gun with two bullets and I was in a room with you, Parkinson and Rita Skeeter. I'd shoot you twice." She replied making the boy roll his eyes. "Nope. I just feel bad for you. Bet you didn't have to share anything growing up."

The boy stayed quiet for a moment. He didn't ever have to share anything, and he didn't like to. He was the only child. He never had any good friends. His parents bought him everything he ever wanted. "I didn't."

"Of course."

The door to the large mansion opened and it was the first time Hailey felt the sunlight on her pale skin. The warmth hit her face making her inhale deeply. It had been just four days, but she felt so much better out in the board daylight.

"What if I tried to run? Like right now."

"You can't run Potter. The house has protection charm." Draco answered as they walked by the rose garden. Some house-elves were watering the plants who bowed seeing them.

"I know. But what if I beat you up and take you wand?" Hailey asked out of curiosity. She knew she didn't have a way out, but no harm in asking.

"Well, I don't have my wand with me as well." He answered. "And beat me up? You can't beat me up." He said with a sarcastic laugh.

"I slapped you Malfoy. Twice. Remember?"

"Vividly." He said bitterly remembering the two incidents. The most recent was in their fifth year. But the first time she slapped him was in their second year after he has joked about the heir of Slytherin killing Hermione for being a 'mudblood' when she was petrified.

The words had left his mouth and in seconds he felt a sharp slap across his right cheek. The little redhead looked like she was about to burst any moment. "You bloody son of a bitch! Who do you think you are?!" Hailey grabbed him by the collar when Harry, Ron managed to get her off.

"Oh, what is going on here?! Ms Potter. Mr Malfoy." McGonagall asked when she managed to come across the huddle of students who were surrounding them watching the whole scene.

"The she-Potter slapped me Professor!" Draco exclaimed holding his now red cheek.

"Be glad I didn't cut your dick off."

"Ms Potter!" McGonagall exclaimed. "What sort of behaviour is this?!"

"But Malfoy called Hermione a bad word!" Harry yelled back who was still holding Hailey's hand tightly so she wouldn't attack Malfoy. Not that he minded. He just didn't want her getting expelled.

"Ms Potter, that's violence."

"I don't care."

"Detention! Both of you!" She exclaimed. "No Mr Malfoy, no point in making that face. I'll see you at 7 for the next two Saturdays." She said. "And everyone else go back to your classes!"

Hailey narrowed her eyes as she walked closer to Malfoy until they had a few inches between them. "I swear to God, talk about her like that again you piece of shit, and your parents will receive your dead body in a parcel." She whispered venomously smiling sweetly. Anyone from afar would think she was complementing Draco... But boy it was far from the complement. "And I mean it."

She harshly brushed their shoulder before walking away with Ron and Harry running behind her like puppies.

"That was quite the slap,"

"Oh, it was so bloody satisfying." Hailey smiled recalling it as well. She was like a little monster as a child. How did she and Hermione become friends? Hermione was a goody-two-shoes while Hailey was quite the opposite. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. Opening her eyes she saw Draco looking at her. "What?"

"What?"

"You're staring."

"Why would I even stare at you?"

"I don't know, maybe because I'm hot?" She asked reminding him of the time he said it in the Rita Skeeter article in their fourth year. The boy blushed looking away. "So you still think I'm hot?"

"No... I was a kid back then. Made stupid decisions." Draco replied kicking a rock.

"Oh so you've become mature? I still see you're making stupid decisions."

"At least I make better decisions than your stupid brother." He argues back.

"Hey, my brother takes great decisions," Hailey said even though it wasn't a secret that Harry took bad decisions. He was a good leader, not a good decision-maker. Hermione was the decision-maker. Ron was the one who made sure that everyone felt good about themselves. And Hailey made sure the boys were in line and Hermione wasn't too stressed out. They all balance each other out.

"Of course. Stupid Potter and his stupid scar." Draco muttered under her breathe.

"Did you know, the student of Hogwarts believes that you and Harry are in a relationship? They call it Drarry." She said emphasising the word Drarry.

"What in the name of Salazar is that?! Why would people even think that?!"

"I don't know, maybe because you two are obsessed with each other?" Hailey laughed sarcastically. It was no lie. Draco and Harry couldn't live without each other. They were constantly fighting or bickering over stupid things. And that made people believe they have some sort of chemistry.

"That's disgusting."
