missing.

ashton was missing.

those were words i thought i would never hear.

maybe it was partly my fault.

he said he wanted to go to the bathroom.

i told him to go to the woods.

my. fault. ashton. was. missing.

i was using euphuisms.

he wasn't missing, he was dead.

the murder didn't want to "get rid of us". he wanted to kill us.

but we, humans, have a strong longing for hope.

sometimes, hope just isn't enough.

especially when you hear another scream coming from the woods.
