Aura Finley

The sunshine the next morning was a bit brighter or maybe I felt so since I was jubilant from inside and was ecstatic to meet Kian. The warmth of his touch and the delicious flutters of his kiss still lingered inside my head. After a long time, I felt so damn alive, otherwise, I had been living the life of a Zombie, working to pay off my debt without being involved in anything.

His assuring words, his calm voice, and agreeing to give ourselves some time were something that pushed me more toward him.
The desires I didn't know were inside me came flooding out with high intensity, drowning me in exotic temptation. Smile dare not leave my face.

"Whoa, someone's all smiles this morning. What's special?" Vinnie's energetic statement followed by a whistle broke my trance from my reflection which I had been looking at for quite some time now.

Smiling, I faced her. "Nothing's special. Can't a person smile for no reason?"

"Well, no argument there." She approached me, smiling mischievously. She gently grabbed my chin and looked directly into my eyes, and wiggled her eyebrows. "But you look different today."

She then abruptly gasped. "Did Ezra propose to you and you accepted? Something happened between you two, right?"

Frowning, I gently swatted her hand away. "No. Why would you say that?"

Her eyes turned wide for a nanosecond before she laughed nervously. "Oh, I-Both of you have been spending time with each other a lot, so I thought, maybe..." She shrugged her shoulders. "Everyone's assuming the same."

"Well, there's nothing like that." I simply smiled and again faced the mirror and picked up the eyeliner to apply it to my eyes.

I recalled Kian confessing once that he liked my eyes beautified with bold eyeliner. Apparently, I had stopped applying the bold eyeliner for no particular reason, however, I wanted to do it now. I raised my head and looked into the mirror through my lashes to apply the perfect stroke of the liner when Vinnie practically screamed something unexpected which caused my hand to wobble and the liner got smeared above my eyebrow.

"If not Ezra, then it's Kian, right? Damn right! You did spend a night in his room! Your smile, he's the reason, isn't he? God, you two did something that night, didn't you?"

"N-nothing happened, Vinnie." I stuttered, even though nothing happened between the two of us.

I wiped the liner with the makeup wipe, not wanting to look at her since Kian and I were kinda together and I didn't yet want to disclose about us to anyone. Or better yet, do not disclose it at all.

I heard her sigh. "It's fine if you don't want to tell me, however, you can't lie, Aura. Anyway, hurry up, we've got a lot to do today."

I was quite relieved that she gave up on the topic and went to scroll through her phone. Once done with dress-up, Vinnie and I exited our room together, giggling at a random, silly joke Vinnie had cracked.

Momentarily, my giggle suppressed and my breath hitched when my eyes landed on Kian coming out of his room with Joy. He looked different. It was as if he made some efforts to get ready. His hair was styled differently than usual. The usual gel-styled hair was now replaced with free-flowing hair, making me want to rake my fingers through his smooth locks and not leave until the itch in my fingers, and the itch inside me had been satisfied.

I had never seen him wear a watch, but he had one on now. The broad strap watch added a sexual appeal to his muscular hairy arm.

Our eyes met and I melted into a liquid when Kian passed me his sexiest, teasing smile, reminding me of our passionate and hot encounter the night before.
