"Five minutes!" The director called out and I looked up as some ladies fixed the clothes I was wearing. By the way, they were stylist! Rihanna taught me the word and I felt stupid for not knowing but hey, better late than never.
We were on the set of filming Loyalty and most of the scenes were shot. All of my solo scenes were done, as were hers, and we only had a couple together left. It's been more work than fun because we were short on time for getting this video out. The plan was to drop my album and the video on the same day. That meant the editor had twenty four hours to get it done and even I thought that was a bit harsh, but apparently he was the best editor in the business and could get it done.
So, we spent the past two days shooting and this was the latter half of that. We did a scene where Rihanna pissed off some big ass dude and I had to fight him. That one was mad accurate considering that's how Sebastian's mom use to he. Good times.
But after that, we had only the green screen shot left, where Rihanna would be hanging from a building and I was holding her, a couple mini shots with us just leaned against the wall, and one where we were 'sinking' into the ground.
The ground sinking one was up next. "You look exhausted." Rihanna said as I was directed onto the set, a coffee in my hand.
I nodded slightly. "Haven't slept." She hummed in curiosity as I took a sip. "When we finished shooting last night, there was a mixing problem on a couple songs so, I had to go the studio and remake them."
"We left at three in the morning." She said slowly and I nodded once. "You haven't slept in twenty four hours?"
I looked down at my phone to see the time, taking another sip of my coffee. "Twenty five hours." I retorted and she exhaled heavily as she shook her head. "I'm fine though, it's all good."
"It's not but I understand how it is, especially early in your career." She raised her hands to my shoulders and rubbed them softly with a small smile. "Take a nap between shoots, okay? For me?"
I nodded again but knew it was nearly impossible. "I'll try." She smiled in appreciation before dropping her hands when the director walked toward us.
"Hey, for this shot, you'll just be holding each other. Y/n, you wrap your arms around her waist and Rihanna, you rest your like right.." He raised her hands before placing them on my collar bone, just above my chest. "There. And just look at each other loving like, you know?"
"Got it." Rihanna answered and I nodded before handing my cup to the set assistant, then pulling a tic tac out and tossing it into my mouth because who wants coffee breath in their face?
Inhaling deeply, I tried to wake myself up a bit before I faced Rihanna, my arms tightening around her waist to make it seem, and feel, more real. I watched her head drop slightly, her hair covering her face as the director called action.
