CHAPTER 31: Make You Happy

We finished eating our dinner. I'm still admiring the beautiful view. I had the best position to see the view because we went to the balcony of this hotel and restaurant.

I'm busy admiring the view, and I just noticed the kitten with me is sulking on the side. Her arms are crossed, she is pouting, and she is frowning.

"Hun, what's wrong?" I asked her and she rolled her eyes.

She made a 'hmp' sound and she pouted even more.

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked as I went towards her.

"I thought you loved me, huh?" She asked with annoyance.

"Yes, you are right." I answered.

"Really?" She asked as she raised her one eyebrow, and I nodded. "Then why are you more focused on the view than me? You forgot your girlfriend because of this view. "
"Are you perhaps jealous of the view?" She clicked her tongue in annoyance and she nodded while cutely pouting.

I chuckled and I wrapped my arms at her waist. She didn't reciprocate my hug, but she buried her face in my shoulder.

"Did you know what my favorite view is?" I asked.

"No, what is it?"

"You are my favorite view, Nini. Your view is more beautiful than the view I was admiring earlier. Everyone can tell that your beauty is much more eathereal than this view."

"Cringey." She uttered something that made me laugh. "Who the hell taught you that, huh?"

"No one." I answered and she pulled away from my hug.

"I didn't know an angel like you knew how to sweet talk."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" She thought first and then smiled.

"A good thing." She tip-toed and pecked my lips.

"I don't want a peck, Nini." I puckered my lips and she rolled her eyes.

"We are in a public place, Lili  We can't kiss here; there are literally a lot of people here. " I grabbed her wrist and started dragging her to the elevator.

We waited for the elevator to arrive. As we waited for the elevator to arrive, I was busy watching Nini play my hand.

We heard a ding indicating the elevator had arrived. The door opened and my eyes widened because of surprise.

It's my dad.

"Oh! Ms. Kim and Ms. Choi." He slightly bowed at us and I saw a hint of longing in his eyes.

He may have seen his daughter. Well, I'm actually his daughter.

I felt Jennie's hold tighten. I bowed at him and smiled. He went out of the  elevator and he was about to walk away.

"Mr. Manoban." I called him and he heard it.

Jennie looked at me with confusion, but she quickly understood when I sent her a small smile.
