Summary:
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? or DanMachi for short, takes place in the city of Orario, commonly known as “Dungeon” for its huge underground labyrinths. Adventurers, supported by gods and goddesses, flock to Orario to seek honor, adventure, and maybe even love. Bell Cranel (Matsuoka Yoshitsugu) is a newbie adventurer who dreams of having a fateful meeting with a pretty girl. One day during an adventure, he’s attacked by a dangerous minotaur, but before it could finish him off he’s saved by a top-class adventurer named Ais Wallenstein (Oonishi Saori). He falls in love with her at first sight, and aspires to reach her level. Later, Bell finally meets a god of his own—Hestia (Minase Inori), the failed “lolita god” who doesn’t have even one follower, and who quickly falls in love with Bell.
Own opinion:
This is a magical-fantasy-action-harem anime based on a light novel. The studio of this show is J.C. Staff, where it is one of my favorite studio but still when i hear this studio I always think of cliffhanger endings. This anime is another fantasy-action-harem genre so what comes first when you hear harem? You think of fanservice, right? So let's just hope that this anime won't have that much overdone fanservice like Shinmai Maou no Testament. If you’re a magical-fantasy-action-harem fan, this one looks more encouraging than some. I just have my doubts on whether it will be able to draw in a wider fanbase.
