The tension between them was unbearable.
For the past few days, Dream and George had been awkwardly tiptoeing around each other.
And it was painfully obvious.
Dream tried to talk to the brunette. But everytime he tried George would awkwardly freak out and run off to his room. It was getting on his nerves. He couldn't stop thinking about George, he wanted to fix things so badly, he hated not seeing him, not talking to him, not touching him, not being around him.
Dream began to give up on George though, if George was uncomfortable about talking to him, then he wasn't going to push it.
With both of them avoiding each other, the house grew very quiet, and the others picked up on it quickly. Although they didn't say anything about it, they knew something was up with the two.
It was a Tuesday night and Skeppy planned a movie night, which meant dragging the two gloomy boys out their rooms and to sit in the living room with each other. The tension was killing them all, George and Dream sat on opposite sides of the rooms, staying as far away from one another as they could. The others just awkwardly smiled, sitting down and turning on the T.V.
The silence was finally broken from Sapnap, "Sooo, what are we watching?"
"The conjuring."
Sapnap nodded his head. 'great. More silence. Well at least we're watching a movie that i don't have to pay attention to. Oh wait. That's right. It's a fucking horror movie.' George sighed to himself in frustration.
He pulled out his phone and started scrolling through twitter. As much as he tried to distract himself, his eyes kept trailing back to the male sitting across from him. His golden eyes seemed dark and empty, he looked concentrated on the movie but George could tell something was on his mind.
'What am i doing..god, i'm so selfish.' It took everything inside the brunette to not run over to him and hug him, really tight.
A jump scare came up, causing George to let out a little gasp, hugging onto the blanket tighter.
'This was going to be a long night.'
George woke up the next morning on the couch, his neck ached from laying in a very awkward position all night.
It took him a minute to adjust to his surroundings and realised that he much of fallen asleep during the movie. From the pain in his neck, the sun beating down on him and the lack of attention from dream, he woke up pissed.
He rolled his eyes and stood up before moving to the island bench and sitting down, watching Karl make toast.
"Want some?" The taller boy asked, taking a bite of his toast.
"No," He responded a little harsher then he meant but didn't bother to say anything about it.
Karl sighed, "suit yourself, grumpy."
"...Sorry."
Karl smiled and shook his head before moving to sit next to George. "Seriously man, you've been so depressing recently."
George looked away, frowning. "No I haven't."
This made the younger male to laugh lightly, "you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to but just be nice, Bad and skeppy are leaving soon."
Karl was nice. Really nice. Too nice. That's what made him such an amazing friend. George smiled to himself and rested his head on Karl's shoulder.
