Saving Belle

Chapter 37

Xander's POV: 

Belle has hardly been speaking again. 

She's super on edge. 

Right now she's playing cards with Liam. 

Her new dog had some unexpected health problems so he was at the vet for awhile. 

I think that and the nightmare are the biggest reasons. 

But we made a grave mistake. 

She opened the cabinet for tea and she was out again. 

That's only happened once before, but with her being more on edge we haven't noticed her running low. 

She just hung her head low and walked out of the room. 

Without a word. 

I went upstairs and knocked on her door. 

"Belle it's me. Can I come in?"

There wasn't an answer, but then I heard sobs. 

I opened the door and she was on the floor just sobbing. 

It broke my heart. 

"Belle..What happened?" 

"I can't get them out of my head...They just won't leave. I just want to forget. It's too much Xander. Just make it stop. I just want it to stop." 

"Oh Belle...Come here.." 

I held my arms open for her and she came and we cuddled on the floor for awhile. 

"Let's go to my room for now. Ok?" 

She nodded her head. 

I brought her to my room and we just took a much needed nap together. 

Enzo's POV: 

I've been on the phone all week about Belle. 

Finally I talked to enough people where I was able to get them to agree that we can get Belle a tutor at least until she's caught up. 

I've spoken with the boys school and they suggested a boy who's name I know all too well. 

Ezra Maxwell. 

In middle school the boys bullied him pretty hard, but he bulked up and fought back. C

Commendable, but he did hurt the boys.

But they hurt him worse. 

Physically and mentally.

But the school seemed to think this would be a good fit. 

Xander won't be happy about this.
