• Ayla Blacks POV •

I will say, the one thing I don't love about Hogwarts is how repetitive the schedule can get.

Every mornings the same.

Get up, brush my teeth, find wherever I threw my robes, start to pack up my homework that I was finishing last night, a knock on the door, find wherever I threw my shoes cause they're always somewhere different from my robes.

Wait, backtrack.

A knock on the door?

Who died?

That never happens.

Again, three quick knocks hit the door.

Okay, this can't be good.

With that I walked across the room and slowly opened the door.

"I'm sorry for the early morning bother but there seems to be a noise complaint from down the hall" He said as I opened the door.

"No way" I said

"Hey kid" He said

"You're not back" I said

"I am" He said

"Ah! No way" I said as I engulfed him in a hug.

"Where have you been?" I asked

"Just handling a lot of things that the Ministry messed up in the past" Lupin said

"So how's my brilliant niece?" He asked

"Slightly better now because the only thing better than you coming back is Locheart being gone" I said

"Oh godric, I asked them to bring in someone competent, not Gilderoy Locheart, did you kill him?" He asked

"No, he's very much still alive, don't think Percy didn't have to stop me though" I said

"I can't believe how grown you are" He said

"It's only been three months, you don't need to do that" I said

"You've grown up, I'm gonna mention it Ayls" He said

"Okay, get to first period, you can't be late" He said

"It's fine, I won't be later than the teacher" I said

"Who's the teacher?" He asked

"You, and you're standing right in front of me so I doubt you'll beat me there" I said, he laughed it off.

"Okay, go to class, I'll meet you there" He said with a laugh.

Thank god, Lupins back.

With that I started to make my way down to the DADA room.

I walked in after the bell rang but everyone was just sitting and talking since there was no teacher in the room.

I heard a few "wow, Lochearts really late" comments.

God I'm glad I never have to see that man again.

"Good morningggggg" I said as I sat next to Percy

"You're in a good mood" He said, I just smiled back at him.

We sat for a second before he spoke again.

"Okay, out with it, what has you in this mood?" He asked

"Nothing" I said

"Yeah, nothing my arse" Percy said

"Good morning class-" Lupin started as he walked in.

"Forget I asked" Percy said
