• Ayla Blacks POV •

"Ms.Black, what seems to be the issue" Dumbledore said.

"I caught her wandering the corridors and she refused to go back to bed." Snape said, I just stayed quiet.

But that was apparently a tell to Dumbledore.

"Thank you Severus, but I can take it from here" He said, reluctantly, Snape walked out.

Did not expect that one.

"Ms.Black, what's really the issue here" He said.

I don't even know where to start.

What do I say, "what do you want to hear first, the bad news or the bad news, Remus Lupin is probably dead and the whole schools in grave danger."

Not the time Ayla, genuine words.

"Ms.Black, if you don't talk to me I'll have to send you back to your dormitory" He said

How can I get this man to believe me?

Can I even?

"Where's Lupin?" I asked

"Excuse me?" He said

"Remus Lupin, he's no where to be found, all of this can't be a coincidence, where is he?" I asked

"Ms.Black, what are you not telling me" He said.

Am I really gonna do this?

"Ayliya, is there someone that would be easier for you to speak about this to first? I can arrange that-" He started

Yeah, the only adult I'd trust to talk to this about would be Lupin, maybe Molly.

Fuck it, we're jumping in head first.

"Peter Pettigrew's alive" I said, cutting him off.

His face dropped, you could feel the immediate panic hit the room even though he tried to keep his cool.

"That's impossible, I saw the scene with my own eyes, it was horrific, have you been sleeping alright Ms.Black-" He started

Nope, not letting that happen.

"My brains not coming up with some elaborate scheme to make me feel better about my dad being in Azkaban, respectfully sir, I know a hell of a lot more then I lead on and I can't just let this slide" I said

"Ayla, I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what to tell you, Peter Pettigrew's de-" He started.

Guess I'm doing this.

Harry and Lupin could die, hell, Lupin could be dead already.

I reached into my back pocket.

"I'm sorry? A blank piece of parchment" He said

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" I said, tapping it with my wand again.

This has never came to life so slow.

I flipped through the map until I found it again.

'Peter Pettigrew'

Dumbledores face dropped again.

There's no way he didn't know about the Marauders map, which means he knows it never lies.

"Mischief managed" I said, tapping the map with my wand again before I stuck it back in my pocket.

He stood there quiet for a second then with a wave of his hand the door opened.

"Severus I know you're out there still, come back in" He said as he sat down and began furiously scribbling onto a few pieces of parchment.
