I won't lie, sometimes days here feel highly repetitive, but you never say that, the universe will hear you.

Don't tempt it.

"Wait, was Charlie actually here last night or was that just a crazy fever dream" Oliver said as he rolled out of bed.

"He was actually here" I said

"Okay, good I'm not going crazy" He said

"The jury's still out on that one" I said

"Fuck off, Percy" He said with a laugh

"Shoot, we're gonna be late for breakfast, we're not gonna find seats" He said

"Oh no" I said

"Oh yeah, right, you don't stay at meals anymore, you- oh my god it all makes sense now" He said

"You still having your epiphanies over this?" I asked

"Yes, yes I am" He said

"So all those meals you skipped, all those times you were at the library, extra help session, walks around the castle, all were with Ayla?" He asked

"Yeah" I said

"And you're still claiming you don't like her?" He asked

"Do you want to sit with us or do you want to have to try to find a seat in the extremely busy great hall?" I asked

"Okay, message received, let's go" He said.

This is gonna be a wild ride, isn't it?

• Ayla Blacks POV •

I was finishing buttoning up my dress shirt when I got distracted by a knock on the door.

Is this just a normal thing now?

I walked over and opened the door, and somewhat to my surprise, it was Lupin.

"You're up early" I said

"Early meeting, figured I'd drop by" He said

"Okay, what's up?" I asked

"Nothing" He said

That's...off, that's off.

"You're being weird, what's up?" I asked

"I'm not being weird, Ayls" He said

"Then why are you here?" I asked

"I can't just come visit?" He asked

"You don't just come visit, it doesn't cross your mind, what's going on?" I asked

"Nothings up kiddo, I just was in the Gryffindor tower and figured I'd come say hi" He said

This is suspicious, even for Lupin.

• Remus Lupins POV •

Yeah, if Ayla can do anything, she can read people like no other.

I could swear she's clairvoyant.

I had to stop by, it's the one of the last days before her life is about to change dramatically.

Yes, I know Aylas mad at me, I'm hoping that all of this will disappear soon.

But I can't blame the kid for being mad at me.

I practically abandoned her all summer and I keep disappearing with no explanation.

Even with the rule we made years ago of always being honest with each other.

All I can do is hope this will all change soon.
