Chapter 7: the work

When the sun arose, I awoke and realised that this was not a dream I thought about the conversation about last night with the stranger, what did he mean work. I go to the Windows and see if I recognised any of the places. I had never seen any of these places before. I started thinking to myself 'what if I'm in another country it's been two days that's plenty of time to fly me somewhere on a private plane. Oh, how I miss mum and my aunties just three days ago I was with them and now I'm with a stranger.' As I thought this the door unlocked and that stranger came in with some clothes and said, "get dressed quickly then we you are off to work."
"Umm, excuse me mister what can I call you?" I asked him I could see he thought about it "How about Zayn," I took the clothes and Zayn shut the door. I got dressed into this black dress with flames at the bottom it only went to the Knee, and it had shorts built into it. I go to the door and find Zayn sitting outside of it on a chair. Zayn stands up and starts talking "now all the Royal fairies have healing powers so you will be healing all the injured at the castle." He led me to a little room where there was a girl. "Amber this is Jaslyn, Jaslyn this is Amber. Amber, Jaslyn will be watching you heal people, and she has a button. Now all she needs to do is press that button and all the guards will surround the castle and the castle will go into a lock down. They will check the security cameras that are in every room and if they don't see you then they will go into a full search of the castle if you escape this room. So don't escape. Right now, the first person. I'll watch one then I'll be off." Zayn spoke Amber thought 'where have I heard the name Jaslyn. OMG dad's girlfriends name is Jaslyn that's what he told me I remember the text.' "Hey Amb princess maybe we could talk to your mother about you being able to meet Jaslyn my girlfriend and I. Love daddy." I just needed proof that they are together. The first person came in Jaslyn told me what was wrong with them, and I healed them. "Right, we'll I'm off now." Spoke Zayn. After a couple of minutes Zayn spoke over the speaker "Jaslyn to dining room I repeat Jaslyn to dining room." Jaslyn looked at me "right well I'm off now back soon and I have a camera in here and the screen plays in every room, if I want, so I'll have it while I'm having lunch. And with that she left. This was the perfect moment to follow her and find out if this man was my dad. I made a hand out of some stuff I found. And placed it so it looked like I was still there. Then followed her I reached the dining room and sat behind a pot plant at the corner of the room and started listening to their conversation. "Hey babe, how was she? She didn't try to escape, did she?" Zayn spoke
"No, she was great. How long are you going to keep it from her? That you're her dad." Jaslyn asked.
"Trust me I want to tell her she is my little girl. It pains me to not tell her. But I can't not yet." Zayn well dad spoke
"Why is only her hand in the frame and it not moving?" Jaslyn asked
"I don't know do you want me so send someone up there?" Zayn asked
"No, no I'll go, and I'll press the button if she isn't there." Jaslyn answered
'Dang it I don't have enough time to get back there I'll run from the dining room at least then they will still think that I didn't hear the conversation they just had.' I waited 5 minutes for Zayn to leave but he didn't he stayed. This was bad I couldn't move they were going to find out that I had listened in and found out that he was my dad. What will they do?' I Leaned back expecting to be caught by the wall, but it pushed open and it lead to a secret passageway and up a few stairs and I was at a dead end I pushed on it and it lead into the walk in wardrobe in my room. Just as I got there last it all went into lockdown mode all the doors locked so I was stuck in the bedroom they gave me. I look around and found some socks 'alright I say my feet cold, and I was cold and while I was on my break I was making a cute teddy they should buy that' I thought I heard someone coming in I was waiting for it to be a guard but it was Zayn "I saw you on the camera if you want to escape that is the worst room too. You have the bars on the window and even if you could escape through them your two floors up." He looked at me, but I didn't look at him "I was getting socks my feet were cold." I say at him he just took me back to where I was supposed to be where Jaslyn was waiting with a look off disappointment on her face. "Where did you go young lady and what is this?" She said whilst holding the hand I made. "My feet were cold, so I went to get socks from my room, and that was from the teddy I am making. Since you never gave me one, I can have one to cuddle it when I go to bed." I said to her "Plus Zayn found me in my room which would be the hardest room to break out of. He said that himself." I looked at him and he nodded
"Right let's get back to work Amber." Said Jaslyn. After twenty minutes I passed out. When I awoke, I was in the hospital room with all tubes stuff on me. "Oh, thank lord your awake Amber you gave us a fright. We figured out that because you are only young you can only do fifteen minutes of healing so 15 people before you have a break, or you pass out. But for today you may rest until dinner." Zayn says then walks me back to my room and I fall asleep straight away and awoke to the smell of lasagne my favourite food. 'Of course, he asked for it just for me he's my dad and I texted him every day telling him all the things I did and favourite foods. Mum was right he isn't the nicest.' I thought to myself. 'Knock, knock' "hey Amber sorry to wake you but dinner is ready come downstairs also put on the dress that is in your wardrobe on see you soon." Zayn spoke I sleepily got out of bed and looked in my wardrobe and found my favourite summer dress fixed but it looked better than normal they turned it long and it had the purple flower pattern on the very bottom and it slowly faded so at the top there was none at the top I loved it.
