"Because I like you, Tae."
Taehyung stares at the cherry haired boy and blinks multiple times. Did Jungkook just say what he heard or is he hallucinating because he likes Jungkook?
"W-What?" The blue haired boy says, looking at Jungkook carefully, examining his expressions well. It doesn't seem like the other is lying.
"I said I like you, Tae. I have liked you for a very long time now." Jungkook says. Taehyung does not know how to feel about this new piece of information.

Taehyung should be happy right. He should probably tell his feelings to the cherry haired boy and then they would hug, probably kiss too and everything would be fine?
But life isn't that simple. For the both of them. It's very complicated and confessing to Taehyung that he likes him wasn't exactly the best thing Jungkook could do.
When Jungkook doesn't get a response from the other boy, he panics. Did he just make things awkward? But he does not show his inner turmoil on his face.
"I-I don't know what to say." Taehyung says even though he does know what he wants to say. He wants to say what Jungkook said back to him. He wants to tell him that he likes him but he can't. He cannot let anything start between them. It won't end well for the both of them.
"Y-You don't have to say anything, Tae. I just wanted to let you know. I've been keeping this in my heart since we were in the first year and now we're already in the final year. I just... really had to tell you. Even though I wanted to tell you about it in better circumstances." Jungkook says and smiles a little.
"B-But I... I only see you as a fr-friend, Kookie." Taehyung lies. His heart beats so fast when Jungkook cups his cheeks and caresses them.
"And that's absolutely fine. Y-You shouldn't get involved with me too much anyway." Jungkook whispers and brings his face to the crook of Taehyung's neck and nuzzels. Taehyung is confused by the statement. He brings his hand to Jungkook's hair and kneads his fingers between them.
"Why is that?" Taehyung whispers.
"You don't know me that well, Tae. M-My life is full of darkness even though I appear all cheerful. I'm pretending." Jungkook says. He feels like he needs to tell Taehyung this. He needs to tell his roommate that the way he appears in front of everyone is a façade even if he does not tell him whyit's a façade.
"Why, Kookie?" Taehyung asks, curiosity getting the best of him.
"I... don't exactly... have the best family background." Jungkook says slowly and pulls away from Taehyung's neck to look at his expressions. A sad expression covers Taehyung's face that means he is buying whatever Jungkook is saying.
