The Solestice Meeting - Part 1

" I will tell you about it Athena, but first I think we need to discuss the heroes here". That is when the council noticed the three demigods and a demititan, standing in the corner of the throne room with wide eyes.

Thalia pov

After Perseus said about us, every god turned their attention towards us. " Fine, heroes come forward" my father boomed. " These heroes did ok," Apollo said. " Yeah, all in favor of not disintegrating them?" Hermes continued and a few hands went up like Demeter and Aphrodite. " Now wait a minute" Ares interrupted. " Those two are dangerous. It will be better if we kill them now" He continued pointing towards myself and Theo.
" We are not disintegrating my son Ares" Poseidon butted in. " Neither my daughter. She did fine" My dad said and I blushed due to his praise. Suddenly Athena cleared her throat" My daughter did well too, but there is a clear security risk with these two. It had been much safer if we exterminate both these kids and the creature" she said pointing at the ophiotaurus. During the quest, Theo sacrificed the Nemean lion pelt to Poseidon so that he will transport the creature to safety. Suddenly Perseus interrupted" No Athena, we will not be killing these demigods. They are worthy heroes. We should reward them instead of taking their services for granted." He said glaring at the wisdom goddess. It felt good that at least one of the gods is standing up for us. " Now now, hold on a second, You are not even an Olympian, you have no say in this. So you better shut up." Dionysus said arrogantly. "It will be better if we disintegrate them now. Two fewer brats I want to look after" He continued. It was the wrong thing to say. Lord Perseus had a furious look on his face and he stood up from his throne and thrust his hand forward. A pitch-black trident with a sea green design and golden tip appeared on his hand. It was similar to lord Poseidon's and we could feel the power rolling off of it. " How dare you say that you stupid wine god. They are heroes and I am their patron god and I will not have them killed in the name of some stupid prophesy". Dionysus instantly cowered into his throne. He then turned towards my father. " Lord Zeus, If we destroy heroes who do us a great favor, we are no better than the titans. If this is olympian justice I will have none of it." He finished slamming his trident into the floor. "Fine we will put this on a vote," my father said.
"Those who in favor of not disintegrating them"? He asked and surprisingly everyone except Athena, Ares, Dionysus, and Hera voted to not kill us much to our relief. " On to other matters, my daughter is turning sixteen tomorrow and we must also deal with the monster," my father said. "Father, if I may, Athena interrupted" There is a way for Thalia to escape the prophecy, she could join the hunt" she commented. This got me thinking, I will get to escape the responsibility of the prophecy and will also be able to gain partial immortality even though I need to swear off guys which didn't matter much due to Luke's betrayal. " I will join the hunt father if lady Artemis will accept me". " My daughter, decide carefully," my father said. " Father, I will not turn sixteen tomorrow, I stand with my sister Artemis. Kronos will never tempt me again" I replied to which he nodded. I then looked up to Artemis to see her smiling and nodding at me. I then said, "I pledge myself to goddess Artemis, Turn my back on the company of men, Accept eternal maidenhood and join the hunt" even though I was a little confused about the fact of turning my back in the company of men seeing how she has a boyfriend now. " I accept your oath sister, welcome to the hunt even though the lines of the oath seem a bit hypocritical seeing how I have a boyfriend now," she said while chuckling. "Now about the ophiotaurus, "my father said " it will be better if we kill the creature", but suddenly Theo butted in"you can't kill Bessie". My father raised an eyebrow at this but Theo looked at lord Poseidon and said " Dad, it is a sea creature, an innocent sea creature. You can't just simply kill that. It is as wrong as Kronos eating his kids" He ranted. Lord Poseidon had a thoughtful expression on his face and then he stood up. " I will not have a sea creature destroyed if I can help it. And I can help it," he said, his trident forming in his hand." I will vouch for the boy and the safety of ophiotaurus". " You won't take that under the sea! I won't have that kind of bargaining chip in your hand," My father said as he stood up too. His master bolt came to his hand. We looked around to see half the council looking at them wearily while the other half rolled their eyes. "Fine, I will build an aquarium for the creature here. Hephaestus can help me on that. We will protect the creature with all our power". Poseidon said much to my father's satisfaction. " All in favor," he asked and everyone except Ares, Athena and Dionysus agreed to it.
" We have a majority and you heroes are free to go. But you are not allowed to speak of Perseus. If it happens, there will be serious reprecaution". My dad said to which we nodded. Then lady Artemis stood up" Thank you for your services heroes, now if you all close your eyes, I will transport you all to Camp Half-blood." We all closed our eyes and suddenly were enveloped in bright light. When I opened my eyes, I was next to my pine tree at camp half-blood with the rest of my quest mates. ____________________________________
