Pt. 6

Olivia: "Ok. That's the fourth one in an hour."

Elizabeth: "It's just a small one."

Olivia: "You almost tore my hand off. We're going to the hospital."

Elizabeth: "I'm fine."

Olivia: "Yeah, I wanna hear a doctor say that. Let's go." she orders, helping Elizabeth out her seat before grabbing their stuff

Olivia: "Just breathe. Slow deep breaths." she calmly says, rubbing Elizabeth's back as she groans

Elizabeth: "I would just like to point out that I didn't feel any of this until we arrived here."

Olivia: "So what? You think the hospital made your water break?" she scoffs in amusement

Elizabeth: "Definitely was fine until we stepped through the door."

Olivia: "Uh huh."

Doctor: "Alright. How we doing?"

Elizabeth: "Oh just fine. Couldn't be more comfortable."

Doctor: "I'm gonna take a look" she informs, rolling up the blanket past her knees "You're moving along great" she assures, placing the blanket flat once more "3 ½ centimeters dilated."

Elizabeth: "Great. Only 7 more inches."

Doctor: "First kid always takes the longest. I'll be back to check on you in a little bit."

Olivia: "Thank you, doctor."

Doctor: "Mmh." she hums, walking out the room as Olivia turns to face Elizabeth

Olivia: "How you feelin?"

Elizabeth: "It's definitely not a dream anymore."

Olivia: "Nope. Hopefully by this time tomorrow you'll have a baby girl in your arms" she smiles, noticing a look on her face "What's on your mind?"

Elizabeth: "How am I supposed to raise a kid?"

Olivia: "Did a pretty good job raising yourself."

Elizabeth: "That was different."

Olivia: "I know. You're also not on your own this time. We'll figure it out together." she assures, exchanging a smile with Elizabeth before rubbing her back when she begins groaning in pain

Doctor: "Just one more push and then we're done."

Elizabeth: "I can't. I can't." she pants, throwing her head back on the pillow

Doctor: "Just one more.

Olivia: "Come on. 1,2,3, push!"

Elizabeth: "Aah!" she yells, throwing her head back after a moment with a huff of air

Doctor: "And...here's your babygirl." she smiles, handing Elizabeth her daughter after the nurses clean her off

Olivia: "She's beautiful."

Elizabeth: "Yeah, she is" she breathes, lightly tracing her finger along her cheek "Hi, sweetie."

Nurse: "Do we have a name?"

Elizabeth: "Oh, uh, Amelia Serena Benson."

Olivia: "Amelia?"

Elizabeth: "Yeah. Liv, Liz...Lia." she smiles, looking up at Olivia before looking back down at the baby

Olivia: "Hi, Lia."

These chapters were kind of like a brief backstory into Elizabeth's life. Since she wouldn't have had a major part in the show for the first couple of seasons I decided to skip ahead and I feel season 5 is a good place to start developing Elizabeth as a person and detective. The story picks up after she has finished college and a few years of being a police officer. Guesstimating she joins SVU at 24 as a probationary detective and Amelia is 6
