You Saw Me

You saw me
When nobody else did
Your eyes
Sad and painful
Barely opened
But You saw me
Amongst the multitude
That scornfully
Screamed and bid
On your dreadful
Fortune.
Imminent
Death
It was an instant
Before that last
unmerciful blow
Tore your skin
And you screamed
Convulsed and twitched.
The sky mourned
The unfairness
Of the sentence.
The clouds roared
In heaven above
About to cry
To pour down
All the world's suffering
For your sacrifice.
You loved me
You gave me a new name
One written with red ink
From the well of your heart.
I shrunk
Remorseful
And tears rolled down my face
Because from that moment on
The veil was tore
And I saw
That you loved me
Like nobody else did
Or ever will.
