Breadcrumbs

I loved you...
I loved you
and you threw me bread crumbs
little pieces of nothing
I followed begging
in the saddest slums
of your rejection
I craved for your affection
and you gave me crumbs of bread.
chunks of shit that lead
me to nowhere
and I searched for you everywhere
to only get lost in the woods of despair.
I gasped... For I found a castle
of sweets... Bedazzle!
I was charmed by you
and my love was so true
that I starved in gluttony
only a painful agony
of picking up bread crumbs
from the dirtiest scums
shreds of love so innocent
of a feeling so ardent
but only laid on that path
wrath!
vultures and ravens devoured
the bread crumbs I adored
and I found myself lost again
realizing I searched in vain
for a love I will not get
bread crumbs of nothing left.
