You Are the Ocean

You Are the Ocean

You are the ocean.
The distance between you and I
Is abysmal.
From the Avernus to the Sky.

You are the mountains.
Unreachable, giant, steep.
There where eternal spring fountains
Rise to fall into the deep.

Where the world is to be seen
With a peripheral view.
You can spot my coast line scene,
My valleys, my rivers...
But I don't get to reach you.

You are the prairie
The savanna immensity
Is between you and I.
There where the birds find no aerie
The wild meets calamity
And it's hard to touch the sky.

Sky... you are Heaven
Or Infernus... I don't know.
Everything else is given.
Everywhere else loves grow.

My lands are fertile soil.
My hills are luscious greens.
Come and sit and don't recoil.
You and I by all means.
