Dean and I walked out of the bar with cheeky smiles on our faces, we caught Sam's attention as we walked up to him. Dean chuckled as he waved cash in front of Sam's face.

"You know, we could get day jobs once in a while." Sam said.

"Hunting's our day job and the pay is crap." Dean told him.

"Yeah, but hustling pool, credit card scams? It's not the honest thing in the world, Dean." Sam stated.

"Well, let's see, honest, fun and easy. It's no contest." Dean said, using his hands as a scale before putting them down.
"Besides, we're good at it. It's what we were raised to do." Dean added. I was about to walk away from this awkward tension but Dean grabbed my hand and pulled me back.

"Yeah, well, how we were raised was jacked." Sam told him.

"Yeah, says you." Dean said, counting the money we earned.

"We got a new gig or what?" I asked, changing the conversation.

"Maybe. Oasis Plains, Oklahoma. Not far from here. Gas company employee, Dustin Burwash supposedly died from creutzfeldt-Jakob." Sam informed us, standing next to us with the newspaper on the hood.

"Huh?"
"What?" Dean and I simultaneously asked.

"Human and mad cow disease." Sam elaborated.

"Mad cow? Wasn't that on "Oprah?" Dean asked me, I looked up in deep thought before I remembered the episode.

"Yeah. That was uh...last weeks episode." I told him which made him nod, remembering.

"You watch "Oprah?" Sam asked us, surprised. Dean and I glanced at each before looking back at Sam, I cleared my throat.

"Anyway..." I trailed off, feeling awkward.

"So this guy eats a bad burger. Why is it our problem?" Dean asked, switching topics.

"Mad cow disease causes massive Brian degeneration. It takes months, even years for the damage to appear but this guy Dustin, sounds like his brain disintegrated in about an hour, maybe less." Sam told us.

"Okay, that's weird." Dean stated.

"Yeah." Sam said.
"Now it could be a disease or it could be something much nastier." Sam added.

"All right, Oklahoma." I said, clapping my hands, walking to the back where Violet and Eddie were. I got inside being careful not to wake Eddie up.

"Man, work, work, work. No time to spend my money." Dean stated as him and Sam got inside the car and drove away.

Oasis Plains, Oklahoma
