Found this in my notes from three years ago, and decided to publish it.
If you forget me,
Don't feel ashamed.
For love is a wildfire that can't be tamed,
And if you find some other dashing girl,
That makes your thoughts jumbled and your heart whirl...
If you should find the perfect one,
If you then forget me I'd still love you a ton.
Because love can be broken,
Love can be destroyed,
Love can be stolen,
But is something you can't avoid.
You can try to think of other things,
But fantasies will always pop back up like springs.
So if you forget me for a different one,
I won't cry, I'll move on.
