Death, Like a Dream

A/n: What's this? A shorter poem? Unheard of!

Death is like a dream that will take me away into the night,
away from the pain, which will fill me with delight.
I fancy myself taking death's hand,
as it leads me off into a different land.

When you die, people will say "they're in a better place now,"
well if that place is so much better, than why stick around?
I want a kiss of death bestowed upon me as I sleep,
to rid me of all these painful memories I keep.

Death, like a dream that makes me loose all my sights,
death sounds so wondrous, I wouldn't put up a fight.
I'll let it take me away and sweep me off my feet,
let it have it's say as my face goes white as a sheet.

When suddenly you become just a whisper in the wind,
Well i'm not sure where i'll go—what qualifies as a sin?
People will say "she was too young to die,"
though little do they know I was fantasizing saying goodbye.
