This is probably more of a platonic thing but, you can go for romantic if you want to try it.
(A) is now the ultimate scientist/inventor, and (B) was their creation. (B) was an android that was, almost exactly like a human, the creator's best creation by far.
So (A) and (B) had been together for as long as (B) can remember obviously, going to school together and everything like that. But what happens when Junko manages to hijack the programming during the game, turning (B) into the fighter they *shouldn't* be? How would (A) reel them back in?
