Patchkit blinked, finding himself in a peaceful clearing. She-cats and toms surrounded him. He looked over to find Larchkit and Petalkit beside him, tails twitching in confusion. "Patchkit where are we?" Petalkit asked. "I don't know." He mewed, trying to hide his own confusion. "And you're the smart one" Larchkit grumbled.
A bright silver tom bounded up to them. "Hello kits" He said, looking at Patchkit in particular. "I'm Riverstar and welcome to Starclan"
As a lithe brown she-cat took Petalkit to see the river in Starclan, and Larchkit bounded off to explore, Patchkit sat down in the clearing. Riverstar came up behind him. "What's wrong, young one?"He asked, head tilted in question. "Well" Patchkit said, looking at the ground. "I want to know what happened to Maplshade" River wrapped his tail around Patchkit. "She's alive and- she is uhh" He hesitated. "Mad; and not just angry." River looked into Patchkit's eyes. "Patchkit, Mapleshade has gone insane."
