"Don't run"

You chose to find the other friends.
You tell your friend that it is not safe to stay here and that y'all needed to go find the others at their camp. Your friend understands and agrees to the journey.
Y'all look around the camp a bit to see if you can find any supplies, but y'all find nothing. Y'all don't even bother checking the tents since they are all ripped up.
Y'all left a note on one of the flipped over tables that told the lost friend where y'all were going. Y'all drink some water before heading out again.
Y'all walk slowly and carefully as it was a dark path and was hard to see. You heard a small twig snap from behind you, you turn around to see a similar grin looking at you from a distance.
But unlike before, it starts to charge at y'all with increasing speed. You are shocked by it's sudden attack and watch it get closer. Eventually you snap to reality and start to run down the path. Your friend was a little behind you.
You come up to a split in the trail, you only have a second to decide. Left or right?
