Stacey POV

"Yeah, we got room!" L and A replied happily, as Kane and G tried to stop them out of the frame.

"It sounds like you WANT me to come over for the night!" I replied, trying to annoy them a bit.

"Yeah! First, you are not safe there, and Second, you are not that far from us!" A replied, really hoping I would come on over.

"Alriiight... I'll head on over. It's going to be a long trek though!" I countered, dreading the journey.

"Nice job already enabling Location Services!" L replied. "A should be at your area about right now."

Right on cue, there was a knock on the door. I got on my coat and opened the door to see a murder drone standing there.

"Hey A! Nice to meet you in person! Thanks for being my guide to the Base!" I reacted, a smile on my face.

"I am not just your guide!" A countered as he picked me up by the coat. "I am your plane!"
Immediately, A crouched and jumped off the ground, me still with him. A was flying in the sky, and I enjoyed the flight until we finally arrived at a storefront. I excitedly opened the door to see G and Kane speaking to L until she pointed out that I was here.

"What do you mean Stace- Oh hello! Nice to see you not on a projector screen!" Kane greeted, changing his tone in an instant.

"It is great that I can stay here for the night!" I am concerned about the fact that a murder drone that was not one of them was inside my house, but here I am, with three others, about to stay with them willingly.

"How exactly did you survive until we found you? I'm pretty sure humans require food and water, and other things I am forgetting." G asked, which got A, L, and Kane intrigued.

"Artificial Food Generators. Surprisingly, those things still work, and they are even portable!" I replied, interested in where this conversation was going.

"You could probably move here if you wanted to!" A declared, clearly hinting that he wanted Stacey to move in.

"Not to be rude, but it is obvious you want me to move here," I replied, making A a bit disappointed. "But I would LOVE to move here!"

A and L's eyes instantly grew brighter, and they both hugged me tightly. Which was tight for a robot, but crushing for a human.

"A, L! I think you forgot I am not a robot and cannot withstand a hug that is normal for robots!" I stated in a strained voice. They both instantly released me, until Kane asked where I was going to reside.

A POV

Where WAS Stacey going to sleep? She suggested upstairs, but there is no upstairs. She suggested one of our beds, but we all shot down that one. We finally settled on Stacey sleeping in the storage area, until we could get bunk beds or something.

"I'll try and align my sleep schedule with all of yours so that we can do stuff together." Stacey declared as she prepared to stay up for an all-nighter. "By the way Kane, how is that weapon coming along?"

"It is finished!" Kane answered as he grabbed a minigun from the storage area. It had 8 sets of multicoloured barrels, with glowing rings on the end. The back of it was connected to a small box hanging below it, connected by a set of red cables.

"Impressive!" declared Stacey
"Nice!" stated G
"Wow!" L told Kane
"I cannot wait to test this out!" I yelled as I grabbed Kane by the arm and dragged him outside. Outside, a target was hanging on an adjacent building.

"Shoot the target!" I asked, to which Kane did just that. The gun started to rotate extremely fast, to the point where the whole thing appeared multi-coloured. Kane flicked a switch, and the entire gun turned bright white as large white beams burst from the barrels. The glowing beams went through the target, and into the building. In a minute, the whole three-story structure was crumbling onto itself, the collapsing sections disintegrating with every beam fired. Kane switched the gun off after the whole building looked like it never existed. All four of us started clapping at Kane's creation, his face temporarily turning to an X for a fraction of a second.

"Hey, L, what is it with the X on the faces of robots?" Stacey asked, to which L answered that "That is the face drones make when they are thinking/committing murder. It isn't even supposed to exist in Workers, but a bug in Kane's programming has unlocked a taste for violence in him."

"How did this bug get triggered?" Stacey countered inquisitively.

"It all started when Kane killed a guard to prevent us from getting captured by the colony during our escape when they captured us. In fact, do you see that worker over there?" I explained then asked, pointing to the now-dead corpse of Jenny.

"Yeah," replied Stacey.

"That was one of the people who captured us, and one of Kane's bullies. Good thing he killed her himself, using his bare hands." I finished.

"Nice!" answered Stacey as she went back inside the Base, me following her.

Kane was sitting behind the projector screen, on his bed.

"You know, I think I am starting to finally embrace this bug in my personality. I cannot fix the bug, so I have to live with it." Kane declared, a look of defeat on his face.

"I was hoping you would not be sad anymore!" Stacey replied obliviously.

"You know, that gun could probably breach the colony doors. We could go in there and murder all the workers!" G answered, his visor turning to a X when he said that.

"Yeah, but where is the fun in that?" Kane countered.

"Yeah, where is the fun in that?" asked an unfamiliar voice.
