(A) has another form, like the 2 I mentioned above, that only really comes out when they are obscenely angry or overwhelmed by an emotion of some other nature, and (B), this time, ends up being the only member of the group around that actually knows how to calm them down from that.
1.) (B) gets extremely injured in (A)'s blindness and that makes them come to their senses.
2.) (B) actually manages to just, calm them down, which leads to them passing out due to the energy it uses up.
3.) magical option number 3 where you make it up.
