(A) got kidnapped by one of the other groups (probably Rats in the house of the dead or the guild(other possibilities too if your a manga reader)), which led to a rather..torturous experience for them. (B) gets to see just how bad that is, during their next fight against the group, since there's (A), forced to fight right along side them.
Whether (A) gets dumped after that fight and taken back by their original group or has to stay with the other group a bit longer after the fact,mis up to you.
