One sentence recap:
Suddenly, Madeleine wakes up

Chapter three.

Espresso quickly flinches back along with Madeleine following.
"What were you doing???" Madeleine asks
"Nothing, nothing at all."
"If it was nothing, why were you all over me just now."
"..."
Espresso looked like he was going red..
"I'm going to the others." Espresso says as he walks away

Madeleine manages to sit up straight, re thinking about what just happened.
"Why was he so close to me.."
"Was he going to kiss me?!"
"Does he actually feel something for me..?!?!"

But of course, he said those in his head.
Madeleine sat there looking dumb and for a while.

Meanwhile....

"Hello Espresso!" Hollyberry exclaims
"Is Madeleine cookie okay?" She added
"Madeleine has just woken up, he may take a while to get back on his feet, I made some.. adjustments on him, so he'll probably be good soon" espresso replies
"Espresso why does your face look red..? Did you catch a cold or SOMETHING?" Hollyberry shouted.
"a-ah, I g-guess I was just w-working a little too m-much back there." Espresso tried saying with a stutter.
"Oh alright, welp I'm off to sleep now, the others are sleeping too by the way, it's just you and Madeleine that need to eat and all, goodnight espresso!"
"Goodnight hollyberry."

Espresso sat down to eat some of the rations he packed.
About 4 minutes later madeleine comes by.
"Hey espresso.." Madeleine says
Espresso ignores him and continues to eat his rations.
They both don't talk for a while.
"We don't talk about what happened, or else." Espresso suddenly says
"Got you." Madeleine replies while he eats his rations.
Madeleine really wanted answers but he was afraid to ask.

5 minutes later...

"Alright, I'm going to 'sleep' now.'' (probably meaning he doesn't wasn't going to sleep and just read something for the night)
"Alrighty, goodnight espresso!!.."
"Goodnight."
"I love you.." Madeleine says under his breath making sure espresso wouldn't hear.
"I'm sorry? Did you say something?" Espresso quickly shot back.
"What? No you must be hearing things espresso!" Madeleine panicked
"That's what I thought." Espresso says before walking to the tents

Madeleine was alone now..

Well, 2 minutes later espresso comes back to where Madeleine was.
"Not tired?" Madeleine asks
"It seems like... something bad happened.." espresso says feeling disappointed.
"And that is..?"
"My tent. It's not there." Espresso tries to say clearly
"Oh, ohh, well, I was about to go set up my tent now so.. would it be trouble if you could say in mine..?" Madeleine offers
Espresso seems hesitant but accepts Madeleine's offer quick, (probably because he didn't want to talk about the situation 😈)

They both walk to a place that's suitable for the tent and they set it up together.

"Alrighty, all done." Madeleine exclaims.
"Let's just head in.." espresso mutters.
They both head with their sleeping bags and start resting.

"Goodnight espresso." Madeleine says in a very calming tone.
"Goodnight." Espresso says while turning to the other side of the tent

Espresso was probably going to wait for Madeleine to fall asleep first, so he had to fake sleep for a while.. but espresso ended up falling asleep, fast asleep.

Madeleine looks over at espresso
He manages to get a little closer to espresso.
He stares at his face with a passion,
"I love you."  Madeleine whispers.
He was thinking about giving espresso a kiss on the head but, what if he wasn't into guys..?
So he didn't.

Madeleine settles back into his sleeping bag and starts to rest for the night.

Espresso must've heard him because he sat up straight as soon as Madeleine fell asleep.
