Y/n's adoptive family the Harringtons think that she's dating Troy which she is not, tthey aren't freinds but ever since the day he found out about her powers hes been less knifey and more cowardly tord her but he still makes fun of her calling her rushkie.

The other boys only know about elevens powers not your, the only ones who do know are eleven, dustin and Troy.

Honestly I think Troy didn't go to the police in this, james was more likely too, because if someone has access to kill you at any time they want too..? I don't think you'd want to cross them by going to the police.
