Chapter 4

Y/n pov

The next day you woke up feeling refreshed. You got out of bed and went downstairs.

"Good morning mami and papi" you say while grabbing an apple.

"morning dear" mami says

"what are we doing today?"

"Well you father is going to work and I have to finish unpacking and when your done unpacking I need you to go get some stuff from the market for me" mami replies.

"Ok I'll go start unpacking now" you say giving your mami a kiss on the cheek.

You run upstairs and get changed into a plain blue skirt and a plain white blouse.
Then start unpacking your stuff.

I've finally finished unpacking!

That took ages but now I have to go to the market for mami.

Maybe you'll bump into pretty boy.

Why did you call him pretty boy?

Well...

You think he's pretty?

Oh shush

I'm just saying

Great my head is a bit to sassy for my taste.

Get used to it!

"Mami I'm ready to go to the market for you"

"ok honey the list is on the table" mami shouts from the kitchen.

You grab the list and walk pit of the house towards town. As your walking you three kids following Mirabel demanding about their family. Then Mirabel starts singing about her family. You start following Mirabel around town as she sings. The kids start asking about her gift an you cam see Mirabel starts to get uncomfortable. Your about to go save her when her abuela calls her and she goes inside after getting the "not special special gift"...that's just hurtful.

You walk away to continue shopping then someone calls your name.

" y/n!"

You turn around to see who's calling you

"camilo? What are you doing here?" You ask him.

"I was doing chores in town" he asks rocking back on his heels.

"What are you doing here" he asks nudging me with his elbow.

We're now walking side by side.

"Im doing some shopping for mami" you respond.

"Oh let me help" camilo says grabbing the list out of your hand.

"I know where all this is I can help and we'll be very quick." He says grabbing my hand and pulling me through the crowd.

We've finished getting everything on the list and now Camilo has brought me to are old favorite spot as a kid, an old tree with a swing.

You start swinging on the swing when you realize that camilo has disappeared.

"Camilo where are yo- ahhh!!" You scream.

Camilo is dangling upside on a branch in front of you.

"Don't scare me like" you say hitting his cheek lightly.

"Owww that hurt y/n" he wines

"sure it did" you say with an eye roll.

"kiss it better?" He asks

You just stare at him. Did he just ask me to kiss his cheek.

"Umm"

"Please" he begs

o...okay" you say standing up from the swing

You walk up to camilo and lean forward. His lips are so close. One wrong move and they touch.

Your lips lightly brush against his cheek.
You pull away feeling your face warm up.

Camilo falls out of the tree then stands up straight. Is he...blushing???

"Thanks I feel much better. Now I know what to do when I get hurt" he winks at me.

"Camilo we need to get ready for Antonio's gift ceremony tonight" Delores comes running towards you guys.

"Oh is that tonight?" You ask getting excited

"yeah it is" camilo says to you with a smile like he's proud of his brother.

"You coming to it?" Delores ask

"Of course!" You respond to her.

"So I'll see you tonight Hermosa" camilo says

"Yes you will pretty boy" you reply with a smirk.

You pick up your shopping and start walking home. When you get home you call mami.

"mami I'm back " you tell her.

"Good girl. Just put the shopping on the table"

You walk to the table and put your basket down.

"Mami did you know Antonio his having his gift ceremony tonight?" You ask.

"Yes I did. Your dad and I are going... You coming with us?"

"yes I am" you respond smiling.
It's been a long time since you've been to
a gift ceremony. You can't wait!
