Ahemdabad

That was a sunny January afternoon when Naina and Preeti entered the park. Both sat on a bench. Naina started reading a newspaper and her sister continued knitting her half-knitted sweater.

"Naina, what do you think? Is this combination good? Am I doing it right? Will Shubham Ji like it" an excited Preeti asked all her doubts.

"Wait! Why you are so excited, at least let me speak," she answered.

"Why am I so excited?" she exhaled, made her melodramatic face and questioned – "Oh god! My sister forgot that I am going to marry Shubham Ji, don't she know how it feels to be in love despite her being in love a long time ago".

Naina froze at her place and it took a moment for Preeti to realize that she did a huge blunder. She pressed hard on her hurting wounds. She made her remember her painful yet beautiful past.

Preeti turned to Naina and saw her resting her head against the bench, tears pouring from her closed eyes and a smile on her lips.
