the house was always quiet. there was no more talking. no more laughter. no more..zee. everything is boring and dull. it is just like before zee came.
i walked to my bathroom and looked at myself. there was a small stubble on my chin. i walked back out and to my desk where a six pack of beer rested as well as my pens and paper.
suddenly, my door slammed open. skylynn stood there, cheeks dripping with tears and soft sobs. "sky, what's wrong?" i asked, picking her up. she cried harder and gripped on my neck. "z-z-zee..tv." she struggled to make out. "zee's on the tv? that is supposed to be good. why are you crying?" i asked her. "d-d-d...dead." she whispered.
my halfhearted smile dropped. i fell to my bed. "wha..what did you just say, sky?" i breathed out. "zee, mahogany, ana, and k-kelly are..dead."
i set her down and ran downstairs to the living room.
the second my eyes landed on the dead bodies on the tv, my heart stopped. "z-zee?" i heard sammy's voice behind me. soon everyone crowded around us.
sobs and cries were all around me, while i stood there, watching the plane fall over and over again. watching zee's body and clothes over the ground.
"jack, bro. i'm s-" johnson started speaking as his hand rested on my shoulder, but i pushed him away. "don't..don't touch me." i breathed out. johnson gave me a sympathetic look. "jack..she's gone, now. we can't do anything about it." he told me. "we have to!" i shouted.
everyone sighed and sat down on the couches. my jaw dropped. "are you guys serious? you guys aren't willing to do anything?!" i shrieked. "what is there to do?! look. look at the fucking tv!" shawn spoke, pointing at the screen. "they're dead! if there was a way to get them back, we would. there isn't a way, though!" he yelled. i leaned against the wall and covered my face.
"no," jake started. he grabbed his hair and started pulling at it. "zee..you're not dead. you're not dead." he chuckled, shaking his head. "jake, c'mon. she's d-" jake cut dillon off. "SHE'S NOT DEAD! STOP SAYING SHE'S DEAD!" he started to furiously cry. i quickly rushed to him and wrapped my arms around him. "she can't be dead." he sobbed. "jake, get it together." i whispered to him.
he suddenly pushed me away. "leave me alone!" he exclaimed, running out the door. i sighed and ran a hand through my hair.
"i need to think." i muttered, heading towards my office. i entered and locked to door. i walked towards my liquor table and poured myself a glass of whiskey. i gulped it down and served myself another glass. i was about to pour another, but i stopped.
"how are you dead? you were suppose to come back tomorrow and be happy and tell me that you love me and marry me. we were suppose to live in new york, just you and me. we were suppose to travel the world and do cocaine in the private jet. we were suppose be together...forever." i said aloud, staring at the glass.
the sudden urge got into me to throw the cup at the wall as it shattered to pieces, falling on the floor. i clutched the jack daniels bottle and smashed to the ground. i grabbed the edge of my bookshelf and threw it down, the books falling everywhere. "why?! why would you do this to me?!" i screamed in anger.
the door knocked, repeatedly, but i simply ignored it. i picked up the lamp and flung it at the door. "why did you leave me?!" i flipped the table; my paper, pens, files, and everything falling down.
"why?" i asked, throwing the chairs down.
the door was suddenly pushed down and i fell down to the ground. "jack, calm down." aaron soothingly said, hugging me. teardrops started dripping down on his shirt. "why was she taken away from me?" i sobbed out. "i don't know, bro. i don't know. but what i do know is that she was thinking about us and she is right know."
i looked up at him with teary eyes; rubbing them. "you think so?" he slightly smiled. "yes."
