The Phantom Thieves are tasked with talking down the horde of Shadows that were in Kamoshida's Palace. At the same time Tatsumi, and Ryuko were watching the whole thing, making sure that everyone was alright to keep going. Meanwhile Mako was cheerleading with some pompoms... Don't ask where she got them.

Mako: WooHoo! Let's go Phantom Thieves!

Ryuko watched over the thieves while playing with her scissors. She trusted Tatsumi, but there was still a big part of her that felt bad for sitting around and watching them fight.

Ryuko: You know, this probably isn't the best way to gain their trust right?

Tatsumi: Yeah, I know. I just want to know what we're working with before we started doing our own thing. And this way they can get stronger than they already were beforehand, so it's kind of like a win-win.

Ryuko: Yeah... But I can't help but feel like this is something Satsuki would do when she was a jackass.

Tatsumi: Don't worry, we'll pay them back, and then some.

They look back down as they see the Phantom Thieves fighting the knights. Everyone seemed to be doing good, they had great teamwork and seemed to know the weakness and strengths of a majority of Shadows there, even if they couldn't use Persona to attack them. The only problem was well...

Panther: Ugh, why do we have to do this again!? We already moved on from all of this!

She used her whip and took out a few shadows.

Skull: Yeah, and for it to be Kamoshithead of all things that brings us back too.

Fox: It is rather frustrating having been brought back into the heat of battle only a few days after we said we were done.

They both took out their own shadows with not much effort. Two more appeared behind them but were swiftly dealt with by Haru and Morgana.

Noir: I was just about to start opening my cafe too.

Mona: C'mon guys, we can't be thinking about that right now. We can do all of those things after we're done with this.

Queen: The question is how much longer this will take.

Tatsumi and Ryuko looked down to see that the Phantom Thieves aren't too happy to be coming out of retirement so soon.

Tatsumi: Despite everyone mentioning their roles and how they dealt with enemies, they don't really seem to be following it. Which means that they really aren't taking this seriously, or this is way too easy for them.

Ryuko: I see something different... Look at their faces, they don't seem too happy to be back here. I think they're just taking out aggression on these poor Shadows right now, can't say I blame them though. One thing's for certain. This is definitely a cake walk for them, just like Joker said.

Senketsu: They have to come all the way back to a threat that they already faced last year. Not to mention how it looks like they have already retired not too long ago. I doubt it'd be fun returning to a lifestyle after you've dedicated yourself to moving on.

Tatsumi: Well, they still should be getting stronger from this so who cares. Besides someone on the team seems to be having a good time.

He points to Ren who was gunning down shadows left and right with a huge smirk on his face. He was the only thief there to not look like he was annoyed. A few shadows tried to sneak up behind them, only to swing and miss Joker and get shot in the back. The masked man looked up at Oracle who had warned him prior to the Shadows sneaking up on him.
