Back at the hotel, Y/N was laying in bed staring at the ceiling. All the could do was imagine her face. They just want her with them. They wanted to hold her close and tell her it would be alright.

Lost in thought, they heard a knock at the door. It hadn't been long since Yelena left, so they prayed she'd turned around. Running to the door, they flung it open.

"Thank go-" they stopped their sentence. It wasn't Yelena who stood at the door, but Daisy.

"Why? I told you I don't want to talk to you, Daisy. Why are you here?"

She smiled, "Nice to see you too, Y/N."

Y/N squinted their eyes waiting for her to answer their question.

"Can I please come in?" She asked.

They thought for a second. Remembering back to what Nat said, Nick had sent her to double check some paperwork. The quicker they got this over with, the quicker she'd be gone.

Stepping to the side, they motioned for her to come in. Shutting the door, they paused for a second to collect themselves. They hadn't talked since their last fight right after they'd broken up. It felt like years getting over her, but really it hadn't taken that long. Once she blamed Y/N for what she did, there was no turning back.

"You have 5 minutes."

Daisy appeared not to care. She probably wouldn't even go willingly after those 5 minutes, "How long have you and Nat been running around Europe now?"

They sighed. Of course she'd find a way to drag this along, "A little over a month now. Her sister got us on and Nick approved it for me to stay."

She huffed a small laugh, "Is that who that was?"

"Yes. Her name is Yelena."

"And what are you two?" She asked as she continued looking out the window. They knew why she was asking, but now they were wondering too.

What are we? Truly, neither of them knew. Something confusing, that was one thing they were sure of.

"I don't know yet. Something soon, hopefully."

Daisy nodded before finally turning to look at them, "You know why I'm here."

"To double check my notes. Yep. They're on the desk," Y/N pointed over to the large wooden desk in the corner. Their papers were scattered everywhere but it was an organized mess. One that they refused to let the sister touch.

She smiled seeing the papers, "I see you haven't changed a bit."

"Yeah well, hasn't been that long since we broke up so." Y/N turned on the TV to help clear the awkward silences between their exchanges.

As Daisy sifted through the papers, they flipped through the channels. "I never watch cable anymore. I don't even know where the hood stuff is."

"Channel 5."

Y/N's eyebrow quirked up, but they tried it. Channel 5.

They should've known. It was their favorite channel. Of course she hadn't forgotten. "Still your favorite?" She asked.

"Yep. Some things never change." It was a weird feeling they got seeing that channel. Something fluttered, but they weren't sure of what.

Daisy stood straight after checking their notes, "Just as Nick needs them. Keep them up like this and he'll continue approving missions of this sort."

Y/N nodded, "Sounds good." Now, she made her way to the bed where Y/N sat. "Daisy, please don't do this."

She reached for their hand but the pulled it back quickly, "Okay, okay fine. Can you at least listen to what I have to say?"

"If you're going to say you're sorry, then I forgive you. Now, can you just go?"

They could see Daisy's spirit breaking down, but they didn't care. She'd torn them to shreds months ago and blamed the whole mess on them. "I am coming to apologize, but I also wanted to fix this, to fix us."

Y/N shook their head, "There's nothing to fix. It's over. It's been over. There's nothing between us anymore."

A gulp came from Daisy's throat as she swallowed down the sadness, "I know you still care about me. I know you remember how good we were together-"

"Until you cheated on me, right?" Y/N cut them off. Their eyes glaring into hers now.

"I was wrong to do that. I was wrong to blame you. I just didn't know what to do, Y/N! You were always gone, always working."

Y/N stood from the bed now, "You never talked to me about that. You never even gave me a chance to fix it because I would've, Daisy. I would've done anything for you. I was just about to ask you to move in when I found out."

Daisy's mouth dropped a bit. Y/N had thought she knew that. They swore Nat had told her. "Why didn't you tell me that, Y/N?"

"Would it have mattered? You already cheated, Daisy. You made your decision."

She nodded. There really was no digging herself out of this hole. No matter how hard she tried, nothing was working.

Y/N sat in the chair at the desk, "Besides, Nat's sister? I have real feelings for her, Daisy. You coming here just fucking ruined that."

"What do you mean?" Her head shot back in confusion, "Like you still have feelings for me too?"

They smiled and shook their head, letting their face fall into their hands. "No, god. Are you even listening? It's Yelena! When she saw you, SHE thought I still had feelings for you. She got all in her head and cut things off."

"Then you shouldn't be with her," Daisy responded without missing a beat.

Y/N's head flew up, "Don't, Daisy."

"I'm serious. Clearly she's unstable."

They stood from their chair, "Do not talk about her. You don't know what she's been through."

She stood to meet them where they were, her face unwavering, "And you think you should be with someone who flees at the slightest inconvenience?"

"You fled and here you are begging for forgiveness."

That one clearly cut deep as Daisy looked down at her feet, "But I'm trying to fix it. I'm trying to work this out."

"I don't want to work this out with you! I don't want to be with you. You ruined this, not me."

Y/N had a finger in her face as they yelled this, but Daisy swatted it away before quickly jolting forward. She placed her hands on their cheeks and planted her lips on theirs.

As she did, the hotel door swung open. Daisy flew back as Y/N pushed her as hard as they could.

"I fucking knew it." Yelena seethed before slamming the door, leaving Natasha with the pair of exes.

"I'm going to kill you, Daisy," Y/N said as they started at her.

Nat quickly intervened, realizing how big of a misunderstanding his was going to grow to be. She held Y/N back as she pointed at the door, "Go find her. Explain it. I'll deal with her."

Y/N raced through the door and down the hall. Nat turned to meet Daisy's face.

"Y/N kept me from beating you bloody the day they told me you cheated. Guess they aren't here to save you this time, are they?"
