I angrily ate my cereal as I remembered the scene from yesterday.

Alex's stupid mostly white furred wolf with the slightest bit of grey on top.

That's why his fur always looked greasy and dirty.

Alex played a dirty trick then, but it wouldn't get me again.

After breakfast, I'd go and fight him again, after watching the rest of the training of course.

I heard I knock on the door, I groaned and went to open it, at the door stood Lexi.

She smiled, "Hey! Can I come in?" I frowned and looked over her shoulder outside, "Where's Bernie?" I asked, he was always hovering over her now.

Now she frowned, "What? Do I need permission to go anywhere without him?" she huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, "I thought we were friends man."

I sighed and moved out the way, "We are.." I mumbled and she walked in, "Sorry for stealing Bernie from you by the way, it's just yknow.." she giggled.

"Yes I know, you're mates. Very cool." she frowned again, "What's wrong?" she asked, "you seem down, are you upset about yesterday?"

I rolled my eyes, "No, and yesterday was unfair, he changed the rules." Lexi chuckled, "Suuure." she replied, I shot her a glare and quickly looked away before she realized it.

I tossed out my now soggy cereal, and sat down in a chair, "What do you need?" I asked Lexi, she lifted her eyebrow, "So I can't just see my friend who I haven't seen in years?" I stared at her for a few seconds and she let out a sigh.

"Are you okay Ryan?" I took a drink of milk before replying, "Why wouldn't I be?" she snorted, "You just seem a little off lately, like you're worried about something."

I narrowed my eyes, "How would you know how I've been lately?" I snapped, "Is Bernie busy? Is that why you're here?"

A look of hurt flashed across her face, "I just wanted to make sure you were okay..." I sighed, now I felt bad.

"I'm sorry.." I said slowly, "I'm just a little freaked out right now, and everyone is suddenly acting like I did something oh so great and like I can just magically defeat this beast who's terrorizing everyone."

She tilted her head, "So why don't you just tell them to run away next time?" she asked, I rolled my eyes, "I can't tell them to do anything, nobody listens to me."

She huffed, "Well they might if you explain it, we can run the wolf into a trap before we kill it if we get them to follow some people."

Suddenly I felt the urge to attack her, I held in a snarl, I knew I was angry because I hated the thought of them killing my vicious mate.

No matter how much they may have deserved it.

"Maybe.." I muttered, I checked the time, "shit.." Lexi yawned, "Whats up?" I sighed and got up, "I said I was gonna join training today."

I wouldn't be able to watch the rest, but maybe I could be on time to fight Alex.

I ran out the house, and I realized Lexi was coming with me.

I stopped once we reached the trainings clearing, we took a second to catch our breath.

I realized a lot more people were here this time, Charles and David included.

I looked up to see Bernie standing there, "Thanks for showing up." he said sarcastically, I rolled my eyes and stood up straight, "Is Alex here?"

Suddenly the clearing went quiet as everyone looked around, he wasn't.

"That bitch didn't bother to show up!" I snapped, Bernie rolled his eyes "Well it's not like you were on time either."

I snorted, "Maybe he knew he couldn't do the same shit as last time." I shot a glare at Bernie who just shrugged.

People started talking throughout the clearing about random stuff.

Bernie stretched, "Guess you'll just have to fight someone else-" he started before we noticed a wolf stroll into the clearing carrying something in its jaws.

Everyone looked in the direction of the wolf and froze.

I felt my heartbeat quicken as a familiar large brown wolf strolled in like he owned the place, in his mouth was a limp familiar mostly white pelt.

Alex.

Alex's lifeless body dragged along the floor as he was carried weightlessly in the jaws of my mate, his eyes wide open stared off into nothingness, dull and yet still wide with horror, his mouth hung open like his scream was cut off.

Suddenly shifted David and Charles sprung forward, everyone else followed, but stayed behind the alpha and his beta.

My mate looked past them and glared into my eyes, I felt like they were looking through my soul and I suddenly tensed up.

It was almost like I knew what they wanted to say.

I did this for you.

Charles let out a low snarl, my mate looked unimpressed and dropped the limp body of Alex, he hit the ground with a thud.

Suddenly my mate spun around and ran off, after a few quick moments of shock I watched as my packmates raced after her.

I didn't move.

'If they were smart they would have attacked right away..' but a part of me was glad they didn't.

Suddenly fear spiked in my chest, if they did catch her, would she be okay? Would they be okay? I felt my head start to spin until I saw the figures of wolves returning, and I let out a sigh of relief.

Everyone started to shift back and began talking in quiet whispers rapidly, Charles would silence them with a glare.

I felt a little relief knowing my mate got away.

But I felt my relief fade once more as everyone started crowding around Alex's horrified looking body.
