Reed blinked gently as the water quickly moved down his face, his green gaze slowly turned to me, I looked to the side, avoiding his gaze.

A few moments passed before Mia spoke, finally breaking the deafening silence,  "...S-so... Who's this, Ryan?.." her voice was now quiet, but still heard nonetheless.

"Ah..right, this is Reed, or at least thats what he said his name is... I just met him recently. Hes been causing a lot of trouble for me lately." I answered, Reeds gaze hardened, I know he wasn't very happy with my response.

"I want to get out now..." I mumbled, moving my way towards the edge of the water, Reed's hands gripped my waist and he pulled me closer to him, I stiffened.

"I'm not sure how I feel about that introduction." Reed growled slightly, though I realized his eyes were now back on Mia, who was looking around awkwardly, not meeting either of our gaze.

I pulled myself out of Reed's grip, "Let's get out first, it's cold." I grumbled, pulling myself out of the water.

We all sat silently in Reed's den, I had previously moved away from Reed as he sat next to me, instead choosing to sit facing Mia, who had her arms wrapped around her knees.

I noticed Reed's forehead was slightly scrunched, his eyebrows furrowed in an almost unnoticeable way, a low rumble came from his throat, although I doubt we were supposed to hear it, I couldn't help but awkwardly bite the side of my cheek.

I glanced towards Mia for some kind of help, so she could ease the tension, but she curled into herself as if she was trying to disappear from Reed's den entirely.

Her faint outline was the only thing I could see in the darkness of the den, I felt irritated that I wasn't able to find the words to speak, my mouth had gone dry and my eyes had begun to ache for reasons I didn't know of.

Slowly, I turned my gaze fully towards Reed, who had his gaze locked on Mia, suddenly, his eyes snapped towards me and his eyebrows relaxed slightly, I still found myself unable to mutter anything, his gaze made me feel slightly nauseous, I felt sick that this man was my mate.

He was nothing that I had pictured, nothing that I wanted, he hurt people, and I couldn't be sure he wouldn't hurt me, frustration rang throughout my body like a loud bell, causing my temple to ache like it was being showered with silver bullets.

Reed moved closer, he leaned in close to my ear, "I don't want my den to smell like her." He growled, it sent a shiver throughout my body, his hand slowly moved and held onto mine, I couldn't help but look at it as he did so, it was so shocking to me that something as small as a touch of the hand could fill my body with a flash of excitement.

I ran my tongue over my teeth, I'm guessing Mia heard what he said, because she even stopped her breathing, Reed moved closer and I caught more of his calming scent which washed over me, part of me wished to lean into his chest, which was just so close.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I just let myself indulge in Reeds presence, but at the same time, I didn't want to, "It's not like she'll be here long, then we'll get out of your stupid den.." I growled, Reed's face started to turn into a scowl.

"I didn't say you had to leave." Reed replied almost instantly, I began to pull away from him, deciding to go comfort Mia, but I felt myself pulled back, and now I was completely embraced by Reed, I found myself struggling to try to move, not only because Reed was strong, but because my body didn't want to separate from his.

He pulled me into his lap, feeling embarrassed, and against my better judgement, I glanced up towards Mia, who was staring, but quickly shot her gaze down as it met mine, "I...I um..." She started, I felt my face start to grow hot, I could feel Reed's heart against my back.

The room was silent before Mia quickly stood up, "I'll wait outside for you!" She chirped, finally speaking up louder, she quickly rushed herself outside, leaving me alone with Reed, who didn't waste time to tighten his grip.

"Ryan." He growled gently, I froze, he turned my face to look at him, "You can't just keep acting like this, I want you." Suddenly I was on the ground, and Reed hovered over me, "You're my mate, you know it, she knows it, stop pretending like you aren't."

He lowered his face to my neck, and I felt his neck scrap my teeth, "Fuck.." he muttered, "I don't like it when you pretend I'm just some guy, I'm jealous damnit." I couldn't help but squirm under him, I wanted him to do more, but I wanted him to get off.

"I hate it when so many people hang around you," Reed continued, occasionally his lips touched my neck, "Should I just mark you now? You wouldn't be able to deny it then."

I finally found my voice, though it came out weak and shaky, "N-no..." I almost whined, but Reed didn't budge, "Just a bit more..." I breathed, Reed ran his tongue up my neck, before kissing along my jawline, I crossed my legs as I felt my dick start to harden.

"Shit..." Reed muttered, "Don't talk to these people anymore, just stay with me." I wanted to say something, anything, but I couldn't focus on anything but what my body wanted, "Do you like your pack that much? Should I take over it for you?"

I shook my head, Reed kissed my collarbone gently, and without realizing it, I slowly moved my hips against Reed, I flinched and let out a soft whimper as Reed pressed his lower half against mine, he felt huge, and it was hard, Reed lean into my ear, "Can you feel it pulse?" He asked, taking my hand, he slowly slid it down the loose sweatpants he was wearing.

I flinched as I felt his hot, throbbing dick touch my fingers, something snapped in my brain, and I quickly pulled my hand back and pushed Reed away, luckily he moved easily this time, I quickly scrambled to my feet, Reed frowned.

"Ryan." He growled a warning, but I ignored him, I quickly made my way towards the entrance, having to keep my head low as to not hit the ceiling.

"Don't follow me..." I muttered as I quickly walked out.

Mia quickly looked over as I left, I continued walking without stopping, she walked fast to catch up, "What happened?" She asked quickly, "Are you okay? Why are you upset?" I didn't answer her for a few moments.

"Nothing...I just wanted to go home."

"Who was he?" Mia continued talking, I felt a bit annoyed, I didn't even know her well.

"Can we just not talk right now? I'll tell you in a bit.." I muttered, she opened her mouth but quickly closed it, my lower half began to hurt as I tried my best to ignore it.

We continued to walk in silence until we reached my house.
