I wiped my eyes, suddenly feeling very embarrassed, I sniffed, "Reed?..." I croaked again, I felt invisible, "Reed..." Reed didn't move, I swallowed, "Reed... Don't ignore me..please..." Again, no movement from Reed.

I reached out to him, in response, he turned around and began to walk away, I stared, I felt my breath quicken.

Why are you so mad?..

Suddenly my breath was caught in my throat, I opened my mouth and closed it.

Do you hate me now too?

I almost whined, maybe I was the problem, maybe I pushed Reed away too many times for him to comfort me now, but it's not my fault, he's not a good guy, how would anyone accept him.

At least that's what I wanted to think, I quickly tossed off what I was wearing and shifted and ran after my mate into the forest.

My vision was so blurred as I continued to bump into things as I ran, I found it hard to locate Reed, I let out a low howl, some things scratch at my fur, the ground was cold and slippery.

I slowed down, I blinked hard to try to remove tears from my eyes, which started to hurt, I put my nose to the ground and began to sniff for Reeds scent, picking it up, I followed it.

His scent felt so good, so familiar, so safe.

I occasionally left my eyes closed so they wouldn't hurt as bad, the trees began to clear, I noticed the familiar silhouette of Reed, his back turned towards me, I approached slowly.

Reed's ear twitched as I got closer, I studied the way he sat, searching for any signs he'd be angry, or turn aggressive, but he sat calmly and silently, part of me wished he'd turn around.

I slinked forward until I was next to him, peaking at his face, but he stared off and not at me, I couldn't help but feel relieved by his presence, but it was also killing me that he wouldn't look at me, his presence surrounded me.

I loved it.

And I hated it.

The silence felt suffocating, I stuck my nuzzle in Reeds fur and take in his scent, I let out a soft whimper, my tail slowly wagged, I pulled my head away.

I shifted back and slowly touched his fur, Reed still didn't move, I put my forehead to his shoulder, "Please look at me... I didn't mean to blue ball you..."

After a few long moments, Reeds gaze finally turned toward me, it felt good.

He slowly licked under my eye, and I began to wonder if he could tell I was crying, even in the dim light, "Shift back... I want to talk to you.." I didn't really care about the lack of clothes at this point, I listen as I heard his bones crack as he reverted.

He continued to watch me, suddenly, I now was at a loss for words, but for some reason, his face made me feel he seemed rather pleased.

"Reed..."

"Are you gonna keep calling me or are you gonna tell me what you want?" Reed finally spoke, despite the harsh words, his voice comforted me, I relaxed a bit.

I put my forehead back on his shoulder, I raised my hand and rested it on his forearm, "Reed..." I whispered again, suddenly he pulled me closer to him, his arms wrapped around me, I shivered.

His hand lifted and touched my hair, "Why were you crying?" He asked, sounding slightly aggressive.

"I wasn't." I grumbled, "Why did you leave me earlier?" I asked, my voice started to sound a bit raspy.

"You told me to leave, but now when I leave it's a problem?"

I gripped onto him, "Yes...don't leave..I'm sorry..." I buried my face between his neck and his shoulder, "Everything hurts.."

I watched his eyes scan my body as if he was looking for something physical, his eyebrows scrunched together, his gaze sharp, looking for any marks or bruises, I gently pushed him back.

"I'm fine.." I mumbled, but I couldn't help but feel a bit happy at his concern, "I'm just a bit tired..." I mumbled, I moved so my head could rest on his chest, only then did I was notice he was growling.

"What happened?" He snarled, I didn't reply, I slowly closed my eyes, I felt so tired, my eyes opened partly as suddenly he began to stand up, I reached my arms up and wrapped them around his neck.

"Don't leave..." I muttered, he stopped moving for a second.

"Come with me then," his voice felt so soft, though I felt confused, I watched as he shifted back, and after a few moments, I followed his lead.

I stuck close to him as he walked back from where he came, I started to slow down, I couldn't help but wonder why he was going back, he also stopped and looked back at me, I shook my head, but all he did was turn back around and continue walking.

I felt as if I had no choice but to see where this goes, I continued to follow him, I watched as the cabin came back into view, then I stopped again, Reed turned around, giving an annoyed grunt, I just shook my head, he snorted and continued forward.

I stared as he continued to slink towards the cabin, I felt a wash of loneliness, which I always tended to ignore, I still found it hard to be apart from Reed, no matter how much I ran from him, and how many times I said I didn't want him, truly, I wanted to reject him I did, and now parts of me wonder if I'm only giving in because I feel more lonely than ever before.

I laid down in the snow, obviously it was cold, my grey and white fur blended well into the background, unlike Reed's noticeable brown pelt, I let out a sigh.

I'll go in if he's in danger.
