Mia.

I shoved Reed towards the closet door, "Y-yeah, what's up?" I asked trying to buy time.

Reed wasn't making it easy, as he didn't attempt to move.

"I asked if you were okay." Mia repeated, "Open the door or I'll come in."

"No, I'm...doing stuff," I groaned, "Changing, I'm changing"  I quickly added, Mia was quiet for a few seconds.

"Oh..... changing." She finally managed, "Yeah, okay..." I heard her take a few steps back, as a awkward silence filled the air.

I glares back down at Reed, "Don't try anything funny with her," I hissed in a whisper.

Reed let out a forced cough, I tried not to grind my teeth together, a few more moments went by.

"Well I just wanted to know if you wanted to go out later..." I could hear the stiffness lace her voice.

Reed opened his mouth to say something but I quickly covered it before he could.

"Uh, are you sure that's a good idea?" I asked, trying to keep my balance as Reed started to push past me.

I quickly scrambled to my feet as Reed opened the door and stared down at Mia, the air turned from awkward to hostile.

Mia's eyebrows pulled together, "What are you doing here?"

Reed didn't answer until I reached the door, his eyes narrowed.

"Dont you have somewhere else to go? Why are you here?" Reed stared down at her as if she were a dirty rat in his kitchen.

Mia attempted to move around him, but there wasn't much room to pass him, she frowned, "I have something to tell Ryan...."

My nose twitched, at least it seemed this wasn't going to end in a fight, I grabbed onto Reeds shoulders and pushed myself upwards in order to get a better look at Mia.

She looked uneasy as she glanced up towards me, I let out a long sigh and dropped myself from Reeds shoulders before pushing past him.

"What's the matter?"

Mia turned her head, "Well, it's not something I can say with so many ears around."

Reed scowled, in response I pushed him back and followed Mia out, before I could speak she quickly turned around.

"Why was he in your room?" She asked, I tried to speak but she continued, "Are you okay?"

I blinked a few times and avoided looking at her gaze, "I'm fine," I muttered, "Just, what's wrong?"

Mia didn't look satisfied with the answer, but she continued anyway, "I just thought we should go around to spy on people..."

I scratched the back of my neck, "...you know, now?" I asked, Mia frowned.

"It's better than it sounds." She grumbled, I couldn't put my finger on why she was in such a bad mood.

"But what for?" I asked, Mia shrugged.

"If they were gonna plan something, it would be now."

I was confused, "Plan for what? Why couldn't Reed hear?"

Mia scowled, "Fine, bring him if you want him stomping around everywhere, he's huge, not really a good trait you want when you're trying to be discreet."

I softened my expression a little, "Are you okay?"

Mia turned her head, "I'm fine, I'll just do it for you." She quickly turned to leave but I grabbed her arm and let out a sigh.

"Wait, it's dangerous I'll come with you," I huffed, a small smile crossed Mia's face.

"Me too." Reed suddenly came from out of nowhere, Mia's face turned to a scowl but quickly returned back to it's normal resting face.

"Thanks for not listening." Mia forced a smile, Reed gave one back.

"Sure."

I walked quietly behind Mia, and I couldn't help but finally figure out what she meant earlier.

Reed was huge, and he stuck out among the pale colored snow and the dull, lifeless gray sky.

His footsteps crunched loudly against the ground and he made no effort to stay low.

I glanced at Mia to see her glaring back at Reed, but I attempted to ignore it.

"Where are we going anyway?" I rubbed my sleeve against my nose in an attempt to warm it up.

"The pack house." Mia replied almost instantly, as confidently as she said it you'd think she spent her whole life here.

No more words were said until we approached the back of the pack house, though we kept a small distance in the trees in order to not be seen.

"Are we shifting?" I asked, Mia gave a nod,

"Yeah, we'll go left, Reed can go right-"

"No." Reed cut in, a scowl returned to his face, Mia plastered a smile on her own.

"Okay, Ryan will go left then, we'll go right."

Reed look disgusted, and I felt confused,

"Eh, why you two?" I asked

Mia shrugged, "Bonding time, I guess."

An uncomfortable wave rippled through my stomach, I didn't want to leave them alone together, but i didn't want to argue, I glanced at Reed, but he didn't object.

"...alright..." i muttered, "I guess...I'll go left then.."

I quickly shifted and slinked my way towards the left side of the pack house, though not without looking back at the two first, Mia smiled and wave, while Reed just watched me leave.

Why aren't they shifting?

I shook the thought off, if they wanted to be alone together without me around,

fine so be it.
