I struggled to get out from under him,  which I suppose woke him up,  seemingly with a struggle,  he shakily got up and plopped down on his side next to me.

His dark eyes seemed duller than usual and he continued to wheeze before he slowly closed his eyes once more.

I huffed.

Why'd you even come back on the territory when I specifically told you not to.

I poked his head with my paw, his ear flicked as he grumbled,  I shifted back and frowned, "I could just leave you here y'know."

He didn't reply,  I snorted and tossed his clothes that I took from him, he still didn't move.

"Put those on and meet me by that tree,  I can carry you in your human form,  but your wolf is too big." after a few seconds he peeled himself off the ground and I shifted back into my wolf form, walking over to said tree.

I heard his feet drag across the ground as he approached, he grumbled and slowly dropped down to his knees, I snorted and tried to managed to get him on my back.

He slumped over and I felt some air leave my lungs are his weight was transferred onto me.

'This'll be harder than I expected.'

I felt bitter, I shouldn't have offered to help, he got himself into this, and now I feel like I have to get him out, but it's not like I have a place to put him.

The only option was to take him back to my house, but how does a wolf sneak a random man into their home?

However they do it, they better do it fast.

I let out a huff, keeping him balanced was a lot harder than I thought it would be, he was still big and heavy as a human.

I awkwardly positioned myself to be able to walk with him and moved as fast as I could while doing so, luckily, it wasn't bright outside, so I had a better chance to sneak in undetected.

It was a slow journey to my house, and it was lighter out by now, my paws felt numb and cold, and I felt snot drip down from my nose, as I listened to the man on my backs breathing worsen.

I dragged him to the front door and quickly shifted, he let out a grunt as he slid to the ground, I quickly scrambled to grab and grabbed the spare key I left around the house, opening the door I carelessly and quickly dragged the man inside.

I stood up and looked away, grabbing a pair of sweatpants that were tossed on the couch, I slipped them on before going back to where the large man laid.

Frowning, I grabbed his arms and grunted as I tried to lift him up, dragging his large frame to the couch.

I dropped his upper body onto the couch before adding his legs, I frowned when his body didn't fully fit on the touch, but this was as far as I was taking him.

I went to grab a towel and a large pair of sweatpants along with a large shirt before returning to his side, I put it on his head and began to dry his hair, I pushed him.

"Get up and change before you ruin my couch, you can go to sleep afterwards." He opened his eyes and glared at me, his breathing was still heavy, but seemingly better, I tossed him the towel and left.

When he was better, I'd take him outside of the territory, then I'd reject him.

I stood inside a shop staring at a selection of medicine, wondering to myself if doing this was too much.

I jumped and snapped around as I felt a hand on my shoulder, Lexi stood there looking surprised, I sniffed, "Oh, hey.." I said forcing a smile, she smiled back.

"Hey! Are you okay? You were looking for awhile." She walked around me and looked me over, "Are you sick?"

I nodded, "It's just a little cold though, nothing to worry about."

"Yeah, don't worry about it." Bernie said suddenly appearing behind Lexi, moving next to her side, it seems they're never not together anymore.

Sometimes I wasn't sure whether to be more jealous of Bernie or Lexi, Bernie was my best friend once too.

Lexi rolled her eyes but smiled, "Do you need us to help-..." I tilted my head as Lexi stopped talking, and I realized both her and Bernie were looking past my shoulder, I jumped as I felt someones body press against mine.

"He doesn't need help." I flinched at the sudden and sadly familiar voice, I snapped my head to look into the direction of the man who was SUPPOSED to be on my couch, "He's fine."

"Who're you?" Bernie asked, cocking my eyebrow, the man shrugged.

"Nobody to you." He said narrowing his swamp green eyes, Lexi frowned

"He was just asking, Ryan is our friend, you know." Lexi turned to me, "Is he your friend?"

"No-"

"I think we're a lot more than friends, Ryan." The man whispered in my ear, I suppressed a shutter, I liked the way he said my name.

"We're not friends at all." I snapped, pushing his head back, "He's just an acquaintance who's imposing and going to leave soon."

Lexi awkwardly moved her eyes away before moving them back, "Ah..." I chuckled.

"Believe me, I know." I laughed, sensing a bit of her awkwardness, Bernie frowned, my faulty mate also frowned.

"Don't you have something better to do? Fuck." My mate snapped at Lexi, her eyes widened and she took a small step back.

"Watch it." Bernie snarled, my mate snapped his eyes towards him, "I wasn't talking to you." He snarled back.

Before I could say anything he grabbed my arm and pulled me out the store.
