I was half asleep at the quidditch pitch, Sirius wasn't letting me out of his sight and I was happy for it, what Lucius did was terrifying. My head slumped against my arms,
I heard Moony say" All right, I'm not standing for this anymore. Hey, darling, come on, wake up..." I whined and pushed his hands away, he chuckled," Come on, Ezra, let's get you to a bed or at least a couch."
Sirius said" Oi, what're you doing?"
" It is 9 o'clock, Sirius. She is a 13 year old, she is sleepy."
" Just another hour and we'll be done for the day."
" I'm very capable of taking her up to our dorm and laying her on your bed."
" But-"
" No, keep practicing. See you two in an hour." I was lifted up, I wrapped my arms around Remus' neck,
" Sweet dreams, princess."

I whined loudly in retaliation as Remus tried getting my arms off his neck, he chuckled and stood there. Gravity won and my arms slid off before I could get a grip again. I opened my eyes and saw him smiling at me,
He said" Go back to sleep, darling."
I mumbled" Lay with me, Remmy." He chuckled,
" I guess..." I pouted at him," Don't pout, Ezra, I'm just joking." He laid next to me, I curled up next to him, laying my head on his chest. I closed my eyes-

I was woken up to my stomach growling, I sat up, rubbing my eyes,
James said" Little bird is awake."
Sirius said" What's up, Princess?"
I mumbled" What time is it?"
" It is 2 o'clock in the morning."
" Do we have any snacks?" They all chuckled, then there was a knock at the door,
Peter said" Did you invite Lily over for a bit of middle of the night fun?"
James said" Hush it! I'd never... here." Sirius got up from the spot by the desk and walked to the door, he opened it,
He said" What-" I saw Regulus Black, I whimpered," It's all right, Princess. What do you want, Reg?" He held up an opened letter," Fuck..."
I said" Sirius?"
" It's nothing, love, raid Moony's stash."
" Tell me what the letter says." He sighed, dropping his head,
" Promise not to remember the words?" I nodded my head," We know what you did, Sirius."
Regulus said" Her family is demanding her back." Tears well quickly, tears slid down even quicker, James rushed to me and scooped me into his arms.
" It's gonna be alright, princess. I told you, I'm never letting them hurt you again."
" What're you gonna do, Sirius?"
" Who told them?"
" Lucius."
" Well... guess I need to cause some bloody pain... make him retake the statement, feign jealousy."
" How are you going to do that?"
" With your help."
" Mother and father will be furious."
" James, cover her ears." James covered my ears, everything became muffled, and with how far he was, I couldn't hear what he was saying. Regulus looked at me then to Sirius, then back to me and back to Sirius. James uncovered my ears,
" I'm in."
" Good. Peter, what have we got?"
Peter said" Not a lot, I'm afraid."
" Whatever. I'll just have to use my fists."
James said" I'm coming with you."
" Nah, this is a solo, Prongs."
" Are you mad? He'll kill you!"
" He'll probably get in a couple punches, but kill, nah. I'll be back no later than sunrise... if I'm not... find me." Then he and Regulus were gone,
I said" Wh-What? No!" I tried to move away from James but he didn't allow me to." Prongs! Let go! Lucius and Snape'll kill him!"
James said" No, little bird, you'll get hurt if I let you chase after him."
" But he's gonna get hurt!"
" Shh, shh, it's gonna be okay." I slumped against him, he sighed and kissed my head,
" B-B-But they're gonna take me away!"
" No one is taking you away, little bird. You're a marauder. You're one of us."

Sirius' POV
I walked into the dorm, busted up but I got what I wanted.
Remus said" Bloody hell, Sirius!"
I said" I'm fine."
James said" Well, you don't look fine!"
" You'll wake Ezra." I looked at the sleeping Ezra, curled up on my bed, clutching Mischief.
" What happened?"
" I beat the bloody hell out of Lucius, and won. End of discussion."
" What. Happened."
" I beat him up till he agreed to write a letter stating he only said what he said because he was jealous that I got Ezra and not him."
" And?"
" And I'm hoping they believe it. Reg even wrote a letter about the things Lucius would say."
" Well, at least we know he's on our side."
" Yeah, that's just because I told him what they did to her."
" It doesn't matter."
Remus said" As long as Ezra's safe." Then Ezra woke, I turned my back to her, not wanting her to freak out about me being hurt.
She mumbled" Is Siri back?"
" Yeah, darling." I glared at Remus, he smirked and walked to her," He's just got back."
" Is he okay?"
" Not really."
I said" Why'd you have to say that?" I turned to him, then froze as Ezra stared at me." Hey, princess." I smiled, trying to ignore her worried stare," Let's get ready for classes, shall we?"
She said" He did that?!" I sighed, nodding my head," Does it hurt?" I smiled,
" Just a bit, nothing I can't handle!" I walked to her and held her face," You are staying with us, no one is taking you away." She smiled and hugged me, I sighed and hugged her back, kissing the top of her head.
