~Masky's P.O.V.~

We walked for about an hour, chatting about anything and everything. My face was still a little warm, but not nearly as much. I couldn't stop thinking about how pretty the reflection of the moon looked in their eyes. The rain stopped shortly after we completed the mission, leaving the world bathed in a damp layer of moonlight.

"Why would Jeff do that?" they laughed.

As I was about to answer, we heard a branch snap off the trail. Our heads whipped in the direction of the noise.

"Come out, you're busted," I called out.

A person stumbled onto the trail. He was carrying a hiking bag and covered in cuts and bruises. "S-sorry, I got lost and there's so many scary things in these woods. I know it sounds crazy, but I thought you guys were one of the monsters," he explained. Fear danced in his eyes.

(Y/n) pulled their bat from the belt loop they were using as a make-shift bat holder. "You should've trusted your gut, buddy. We are the monsters."

A look of terror spread across the guy's face. He turned and tried to run down the trail, but his bag was weighing him down too much.

(Y/n) stared up at me, as if to ask if I wanted to kill hm.

"He's all yours," I said.

An insane smile crept across their face. They dashed after the guy, easily catching up. They brought the bat down on his head.

I casually strode up to where they were. The man was on the ground, pleading for his life with tears and snot running down his face. Blood pooled around his head.

I looked at (Y/n) and slightly jumped. Their face had changed. Their teeth were sharp and canine-like. There were small vertical slits in their cheeks that allowed them to open their mouth much wider than a normal person should be able to.

They didn't seem to noticed anything was different. They lifted the bat and brought it down on his head a few times. They didn't go as crazy as they did earlier. They seemed to want to just get it over with this time. After the man was dead, they stood straight up and looked at me. Their face slowly morphed back to normal.

"We should go home, I'm really tired," they said.

"O-okay, yeah, we should go." I tried to appear calm. If they didn't notice what happened, then maybe it'd be best if they didn't know about it for now.

We walked back down the trail and made our way to the mansion. I closed the door behind us once we were inside. "I need to go report to Slender. I had a lot of fun tonight, and I hope that we can do this again sometime soon," I said.

They smiled up at me. "Yeah, me too."

"Looks like someone's date went well, especially since somebody's missing their mask." BEN was staring at us over the back of the couch and making kissy faces.

I mentally facepalmed. Of course I'm stupid enough to forget my mask in the van.

"Y'all better have used protection," Jeff laughed next to him.

"Oh, that is it! You two are so gonna get it!" (Y/n) jumped over the back of the couch, and soon enough, (Y/n) had both of them in choke holds. Their teeth seemed a little sharper, but it was probably just my imagination.

I chuckled to myself and disappeared to Slender's office, making a pit stop at my room to grab another mask. I knocked on Slender's door before letting myself in.

'Masky, I see you completed your mission. Did anything interesting happen?' his voice echoed through my head.

I took a deep breath before beginning retelling what happened. I told him about the man in the woods and how (Y/n)'s face changed.

He sat in silence before slumping his shoulders. 'It's just as bad as I thought. I was really hoping for Hoodie's dream to just be a dream.'

"What should we do?" I asked.

'Nothing yet. I'll try to figure out what's causing this. In the meantime, do not tell anyone about this. You may go.' A book appeared in his hand and he began to somehow read. It was titled Curse Breaking for Dummies.

I left the room and headed to my own. I changed into grey sweatpants and a black tank top before laying on my bed. I tried to sleep, but I couldn't stop thinking about all the things that happened. The memory of (Y/n) telling me that my face looked nice replayed over and over in my mind.

~(Y/n)'s P.O.V.~

I was so hungry. All I could think about was devouring the man in the woods.

I left the living room soon after Masky. As I left, I heard BEN and Jeff whispering something about teeth. I ignored it and went to my room.

I tore through several packets of gushers, but it did nothing to satisfy my hunger. I felt my stomach lurch suddenly.

"Oh shit," I whispered before running to the bathroom. As soon as the door was locked, I began throwing up everything I had eaten in the past 24 hours. I sat on the bathroom floor for a few minutes before leaning over and flushing the toilet. I stood up and looked in the mirror. I looked just as bad as I felt, but something seemed off. My teeth looked a little sharper than normal.

"God, I need some sleep," I mumbled. I quickly brushed my teeth and headed to my room. I flopped down onto the bed and curled up under the blankets. Before I knew it, I drifted off into a deep sleep.
