(TW: Speeding, Violence)

When Valentina came into Vincents room

Vincent's POV

"Go back and try that again" I say as my baby sister barges into my room.

I was trying hard not to smile.

"Can I come in dearest brother Vincent" She says innocently while knocking.

"Enter" I say failing to conceal my amusement.

"What did you need Valentina" I say continuing to get ready.

"Well my dear brother, I have a couple of questions" She says attempting to sound tough.

I nod my head not bothering to speak. This should be interesting.

"Do you think that snails can get high?" She says with a straight face.

Is she serious-

Seriously what am I gonna do with this girl.

"Get out my room Valentina" I say struggling to keep myself from laughing.

After she says she was playing, I tell her that she needs to hurry up because I needed to go to work. If Father knew that I was late to this meeting, he'd have my head.

"Where ya heading?" She asks curiously.

Now I can answer truthfully or I could lie. One thing about me is, that I hate liars. So I'm not gonna lie completely. Just twisting the truth a bit for her safety.

"Work" I answer truthfully.

"Where do you work" She asks being nosy.

"I work second in command to father, we own Casinos, Hotels, Bars, and Clubs" I wasn't lying. We do own all those places, but as a cover.

"Can I come?" She asks excitedly.

Nope. No way. Never.

I will not intentionally put my little sister in danger like that. Ever.

Her accompanying me to work would put her in immediate danger. I may not be able to protect her, but Valentina being Valentina, I doubt that she would even need my help in protecting herself.

"No" I say strictly, shutting off any room for argument.

After I say my goodbyes to her, I head downstairs to say bye to Father.

"Goodbye Father" I say once I get downstairs.

"Alright Vincent, the others should already be there once you arrive" Father says.

"Alright. What are you and Valentina gonna do today?" I ask checking my watch.

"I'm just going to take her shopping for the things she needs" Father explains.

I just nod my head.

"Alright Father, I'm going to head out now" I say grabbing my keys.

"Ok son, you know what to do right? I don't want anything going wrong you hear me?" Father warns.

"Yes" I say walking out the house.

Honestly, I love Father and all but I hate it when he does that. I've been training for this my whole life. I literally don't have a childhood due to the fact that I trained every single day, and he still doesn't think I'm capable to conducting things myself.

I start speeding to our base to relive my stress.

Speeding made me feel like I was floating, it calmed all my nerves. The wind running through my hair gave me a euphoric feeling.
