Valentina's POV

I immediately hung up the phone. I knew something was gonna happen. I couldn't shake that uneasy feeling I had.

I hop out my bed and make my way to the door.

Before I opened the door I paused. They obviously wouldn't allow me to leave in the middle of the night. I had to think smartly. I walk over to my window and look down.

It didn't seem that high, and thankfully there was a tree right there. Its not my first time jumping out of a window. So I wasn't worried.

"Here goes nothing" I say to myself as I open the window. I managed to leap from my window and grab hold of a tree branch.

"Sh*t" I say as I looked down.

I probably shouldn't have looked down, cause now I can see that I'm hanging onto this branch for dear life.

Alright, I'm gonna jump down on 3.

1..2.. Ah screw it.

YOLO.

I drop down to the ground.

Did it hurt? Yes. Yes the hell it did.

Did I possibly break my ankle? Yes. Yes I possibly did.

Hotel? Trivago.

Back to the serious matter at hand.

The real question now is how am I gonna get passed the gate.

Thankfully the guards watch the front door, but, some of them like to walk over to the gates. Just depends on which guard is on shift.

I began to limp run since my ankle was hurting like hell.

Now how am I getting over this fence. I hid behind a tree in the mean time as I carefully thought out my strategy.

I look around and a idea popped up into my head.

'I could climb the wall' I thought.

Surrounding the house was a wall and a fence. I could climb the wall no problem. I did a bit of parkour back in my day. Well mainly cause I was always running from home...

Anyways.

"Alright Tristan I'm coming" I say as I limp run towards the wall.

I managed to get a firm grip and began climbing.

"Did you hear that?!" One of the minions- I mean, guards say.

Shoot. I cant get caught now. Not when I'm this close.

"Relax, it's probably just a raccoon. Stop being so paranoid"

Whew. Thank you for that my good sir.

Wait-

Did these roaches just call me a raccoon??!

Not the time Val. Not the time.

I quickly climbed over the wall and jumped to the ground.

This is gonna hurt 10 times as worse then the tree.

Just as expected, I messed up my ankles even more. I put my hand over my mouth to keep myself from crying out in pain. I stay still for a few seconds to allow the pain to become bearable.

I pat my pockets for my phone. When I realize it's not there, I remembered that I must've left it on my bed. I probably should've texted someone where I was going and then snuck out. Oh well. They're all most likely sleeping anyways. I'll be back before they know I'm gone. I hope.
