BABYLON
575 BC

THE PARTY WAS THRIVING, the eternals hanging amongst human's— their suits making them easy to point out amongst the crowds. Sprite had people gathered around herself, all of them listening with amazement and intrigue to her stories. Kingo, Gil and Thena watched with the naive human's, smiling at the young girl who was having fun.

Phastos— who was all but dragged kicking and screaming from his lab— sat in the corner, conversing with a couple of humans who were expressing their concerns about how long their crops would take.

It made him feel a little better about his creation of the Plow, that would be ready in a couple of days.

Druig sat on the other side of the room, Althea draped across his lap comfortably as she sipped her drink. The mind reader was whispering in her ear what different people were thinking about, and the elemental would snicker.

Makkari suddenly appeared before them, dropping a load of things on the table— mostly stolen, which made Althea snort.

"The beautiful Makkari. You're late." The copper-haired woman mused, her hands signing her words as she rose an eyebrow at the stolen gadgets. "Althea wouldn't stop wondering where you were." Druig added and Makkari rolled her eyes.

"I needed to get enough artefacts to make a good trade." Makkari signed and Althea nodded before seeing her necklace amongst the stolen things.

"Hey!" She huffed as she grabbed it and Makkari looked at it before shaking her head. "You dropped that in the Village, I found it on the floor." The taller girl signed in defence and Althea froze before nodding.

"Yeah, no. Sounds like me." The copper-haired woman nodded and Makkari rolled her eyes. "Just lie to her." She heard the human mumble from the other side of the table as he reached over to steal one of the gadgets, causing Althea to give the other woman a look.

Makkari saw the copper-haired girl's look, causing her to turn and grab the man's hand so fast, he didn't even have the time to blink.

"I can sense vibrations. Even the tiniest movement, including your voices when you speak." Makkari signed as Druig translated for her. Althea smirked before turning to the men with narrowed eyes, her eyes flashing white as Druig gripped her waist warningly.

"Did you two just waste her time?" The copper-haired woman questioned defensively, causing the two men to share terrified glances. "The Emerald Tablet you're searching for...is a myth!" A man defended in Babylonian, his voice laced with fear.

A fight breaking out a few feet away pulled their attention from the terrified men and over to the unnecessarily angry humans. "Excuse me, my love." Druig whispered in Althea's ear as he lifted her off his lap, causing her to sigh.
