I woke up with a start. Weird lucid dreams had filled my head all night and I felt like I hadn't slept a wink. They had been so real I felt like I could reach out and touch that gorgeous freckles face.
I had probably been watching too much lord of the rings recently. It was my favourite movie series and I rewatched it regularly. I yawned and Yoonjun's warm body pressed against my own.
"Good Morning gorgeous." He whispered into my ear. I smiled and squeezed his warm arm gently. I always felt safe when I was near him.
"What have you got planned for today?" I asked quietly. The warm summer sunshine was already filling the room and I was excited to spend the summer in the garden, reading, gardening and relaxing after a crazy year of teaching.
"I'm gonna do some cooking. I have a couple of weeks off and I want to see if I can create some new dishes for the restaurant." He said quietly.
"Arf!" The little dog interrupted and I smiled brightly at the cute puppy.
"Come Mochi!" I patted the bed next to me and the small dog jumped up to join us. I stroked his head softly and he laid down next to me.
"I'm gonna get a shower. Care to join me?" He asked flirtatiously. I giggled and shook my head.
"I'm exhausted Yoonjun. You kept me awake late enough last night." He chuckled and kissed my cheek before leaving the warm bed. Mochi got up and followed him as he entered the bathroom.
I stretched out across the bed and began making plans for what I would do today.
"Y/n!" My boyfriend called. I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. I looked back towards the house and he was holding two plates. "I got you lunch!"
I quickly stood and wiped my backside of the few stray blades of grass that had attached themselves to me. I quickly jogged over and sat at the cute French Bistro style table, on our patio.
"Thank you babe." I smiled at him and began eating the delicious caesar salad he had created for us. I wasn't really one for cooking, but luckily I had fallen for a chef.
"Is it good?" He asked in between mouthfuls of leafy greens and bright red sweet tomatoes. I nodded as I shovelled another fork full into my open, expectant mouth.
"It's so delicious." I picked a bit of chicken out and set it to one side. My boyfriend looked on disapprovingly. "For Mochi!" I protested. Mochi was our adorable French bulldog. We hadn't long adopted him and I was very fond of him.
Lunch was uneventful and I laid back down and read my book whilst my faithful boyfriend was concocting new menu items in the kitchen. He wanted to perfect his craft. I didn't mind though, I got to taste test it all when it was done.
"Come here Mochi! Don't run off into the forest!" I warned as he strayed dangerously close to the end of the garden. He lifted his leg and did his business on a tree. Then he trotted back over to me. I couldn't help laughing at his floppy jowls jiggling and bouncing.
Evening time came and the air was beginning to cool off. I pulled my cardigan around myself tightly to try and keep warm. I called for the small puppy and we headed inside. I took a look at the tall trees that lay beyond the border of my property and frowned.
"Jimin..." I mumbled quietly. Why was that name so firmly in my head? Every time I looked at the trees it was like an unknown force was trying to draw me in. Calling me from the darkness beyond. My mother had always warned me about the forest, and I wasn't about to go wandering around in there.
"You ok babe?" Yoonjun wrapped his arms around my waist and I sighed dreamily, as I tore my eyes away from the trees.
"Yeah. Just thinking about my Mom." I smiled fondly. I missed her every day of my life. She had passed when I was a teen and she was often on my mind. She had been my biggest role model and she was the reason I had become a teacher.
"She would be so proud of you babe." Yoonjun reassured me. I smiled and kissed his cheek softly. He always knew exactly what to say to make me feel better.
"She would have loved you Yoonie." I stated fondly. He was so good at taking care of me and supporting my dreams, that's all my Mother ever wanted for me.
Jimin's POV
I could see her from the tree I sat in. I could feel her aching soul calling out to me, and tears began falling. He had put her into a deep bewitching sleep once more. The Princess had been suppressed and he was slowly draining her power. I felt it more than ever. The weakness in my chest as my heart thudded softly. I watched as she kissed Yoonjun and it was too much for me to bear.
"How is she?" Felix asked as I flew into his bed chamber. I quickly transformed back into my human form and shook my head emphatically.
"He's captured her heart again. He even replaced me with another dog." I stared down at the floor angrily. I had thought it would be easy to reach her heart. Just as I had before. I knew if I entered the border of his spell, he would know and he would kill her. I had to try and stir her another way.
"Jimin, it isn't her soul guide. You are irreplaceable." Felix reassured me softly. I nodded and wiped my eyes on the cuff of my shirt, I was sick of the tears that often fell when I thought of losing my twin soul. I had already experienced it once, and I couldn't bear the thought of dealing with it again. Especially when I had only just got her back.
"Thank you Prince for hearing me out and convincing your Father to free me. I know that can't have been easy for you." Felix and I had matching bruises on our faces after facing the backlash of the King. Thankfully King Han had heard of the prophecy and had managed to charm the high priestess into divulging the information for him.
Ancient Elven scrolls were typically for the high council who ruled above the King's of each land, but this had been deemed a multi Kingdom crisis, so the high priestess had been given permission to explain the prophecy to us.
"Thank you for saving me. I just wish there had been another way." The Prince had been more emotional than he had ever been in the fifty eight years I had known him.
"Me too." I flopped to the floor and gently held my chest. My energy levels were draining and nothing I tried would bring them back up.
"Jimin, please you must rest." Felix stood and approached me. He crouched and gently took my arm. "You may sleep in my bed. I have scouting duties. Get some rest." He instructed quietly.
"Thank you Prince Felix." I murmured as I laid down on the soft bed. I slowly turned back into my puppy form and curled up in amongst the many cushions that were carefully placed on the bed.
"Sleep well old friend." It was the last thing I heard before Felix disappeared out of the window. I closed my dreary eyes and finally tried to get some sleep.
I would invade her dreams once more tonight.
I had to awaken y/n once more.
