The King had started to recover from the mystery illness. The stress of everything that had happened had been enough to push him over the edge, although nobody quite knew what the illness actually was. What was worse even the high Priests didn't know how to cure it.

"Your Majesty." I bowed deeply as I entered the throne room. The King looked tiny and pale on his throne. I wasn't sure he should be taking council but he had insisted. I smiled at Felix who stood just behind him.

"Princess y/n. I think we're past bowing. Come, give me a hug. It's good to see you healthy again." He said softly. I was shocked he had said this. The King very rarely offered any kind of affection. I approached him, and he carefully stood. I placed my hand on his shoulders to steady him on his feet.

"It's good to see you awake too King Hyunjin. Please make sure you don't overwork yourself. None of us want you to get ill again." He chuckled as he wrapped his arms around me.

"It's ok Princess. Thank you for being concerned. I am taking it easy. Felix has barely left my side since I awakened." He released me and carefully sat back down. I smiled softly at them both. Felix winked at me.

"Your Majesty, I have a request, but I need your permission, and probably your help too."

"Go on," he instructed.

"I want to see the prophecy everyone keeps talking about. If it's real, and it's about me, I think I deserve to know what I might be up against." I stated bravely.

"Oh y/n. You never change. I can speak to the high Priestess but even I have not seen the ancient scrolls of our ancestors. They are kept under lock and key. The high priestess is the only one with that key." He explained. I shuffled awkwardly. I knew he wasn't going to like the next part.

"That's where Leeknow comes in your Majesty. He's very...familiar with the high priestess." It was a polite way of saying they were sleeping together. The King raised his eyebrow, skeptically.

"Y/n. You know that breaking into the old vaults is treason, correct?" The King asked. I nodded and dropped my gaze to the polished floor. I heard Felix chuckle slightly.

"Sorry your Majesty, I don't know why I came to you of all people. Especially considering its your crown I'm planning on betraying." I pressed my palm to my forehead, and looked back to the King. To my surprise he was smiling.

"Y/n, if I allow you to do this, you have to promise you will defeat the evil that lays beyond our forest." He said. I smiled brightly at him.

"Once I know what it is exactly, I will do everything I can my King." I bowed once more and he chuckled and shook his head. "You young royals are going to be the death of us old Kings." He stated softly.

"Oh, one more thing your Majesty." He nodded for me to continue, "When I was being held captive, before I went to the Heavenly Planes, I sent a plea out into the forest. It was answered yesterday." I bit my lip. I knew he wasn't going to like what I was about to say.

"By whom?" He enquired.

"The Water Elves of the Eastern Sea." I explained.

"Oh no." He groaned and rubbed his face. "He's insufferable."

"I'm sorry your majesty. However he is bringing his army, and a hoard of sea serpents. If we're going to fight the necromancer, we need all the help we can get." I reminded him. He nodded.

"Thank you for preparing me y/n. Felix. Why don't you accompany the Princess. Make sure she finishes the task at hand." He nodded to his son and Felix slowly walked and stood next to me. He gently took my hand in his and we both bowed deeply, before leaving.
