"I don't have the money right now please I need more time" I heard my ma say to the landlord
"You had enough time Alicia I gave you a whole month, I want you out of my apartments today!" The landlord said
"Ma we gone be straight I got money I can get us a house right now" My brother Tae said
"I don't want your money baby. Mama got it" My ma said
I sighed I hated hearing my mama sad I don't know why we haven't been moved from this complex. Me and Tae make our own money we can take care of mama.
I got up off my bed and went into my little sister Zara room to make sure she was still taking her nap. I peeked in to see Zara still fast asleep I closed the door and made my way downstairs
"Aye sis pack you stuff up we getting out this bitch" Tae said
"Where we going?" I asked
"Don't worry about that just know we gone be straight. " Tae said
"Okay" I said
I walked back into my room and looked in my shoe box where I had money from doing hair.
I can give this to mama she needs it more than I do.
I closed the shoe box back up and went to my closet and grabbed my suitcase and started getting my clothes out and putting them in the suitcase. I don't know how the hell we gone get all this shit out today he should've gave us more than 1 day with his crackhead ass.
As I was packing my stuff my little sister Zara came into the room.
"Big brother said we were moving" Zara said
"Yeah we gotta get out of here lil sis" I said
"Where are we going?" Zara asked
"I don't know " I said
"I hope it's somewhere that has a pool, I hate this place" Zara said
"Me too sis" I said
"Aye just pack a few clothes for a couple nights me and my homeboys gone come get our stuff out tomorrow" Tae said
"Okay" I said
"Zara go downstairs with mama" Tae said
"Okayy" Zara said
Once Zara was downstairs Tae came into the room.
"Aye ima get y'all a hotel for a couple days until I can get us a house. Take care of mama and Zara we gone be straight" Tae said
"I know I'm not worried. I was thinking about giving mama the money I have from doing hair" I said
