"The pain of it slashed through my body in nauseating waves before settling heavily in the pit of my belly. I tried to hold it together, to hold it down, but I couldn't."

Days had passed since Isaac claimed himself as the third supernatural teenager under Melissa's supervision, for a house filled with so many teenagers things had run smoother than what could have been expected. Melissa had come home that night to her son sleeping on the couch, with as little as the throw off of Nellie's bed to provide him with warmth on a cold night, of course the woman was curious as to why her son had chosen to sleep on the couch rather than his own bed but when she had walked upstairs to find Isaac sleeping in Nellie's bed and the blonde in Scott's. It didn't take her long to piece together the puzzle. For reasons she was unsure of, her son had brought home another stray, and based on what she knew about Noelle, she'd given up her bed for Isaac since it was comfier than Scott's, and he had given up hers because he didn't want her to be the one sleeping on the couch. Though the woman believed that there was more than it to that, she'd seen the way her son looked at Noelle, a mother noticed everything about their child. Mellisa had gone to sleep with a smile on her face that night, she wasn't mad that she now had to care for another child that wasn't her own, she was touched. Proud that she had raised a son like Scott, proud of the girl she had seen grow up, how she remained so light-hearted even after facing a world of pain, she knew her father would've been proud to see the young woman she'd grown into since he had been gone.
It was Monday night when Isaac and Nellie had been sprawled across the blonde's bed, with her missing both freshman and sophomore year she needed all the help she could get when it came to catching up. Isaac wasn't the best tutor, but he tried his best, and unlike Scott and Lydia who took it very seriously, he tried to make it fun for her, and let her take breaks at least every twenty minutes, maybe it wasn't helping them get any work done, but it made the process that little bit more bearable for her. Nellie was sitting with her head at the foot of the bed, her book held up above her head as she failed to process the concept of trigonometry, in the off chance she had turned to look at Isaac as he lay beside her she had noticed how he stared at the open door, his brows knitted. She knew that look, it was his eavesdropping look.
"Scott?" Nellie questioned in a whisper to which the wolf nodded, keeping his eyes on the door as she rolled onto her stomach to watch the door with him. "What's he doing?"
"Going somewhere. I think it's happening." Isaac mumbled back, turning to the blonde as he asked her the question, prepared to take her lead. "Do we try and stop him?"
"Of course not." Nellie shook her head leaving Isaac confused, he would have thought she'd been the first to suggest stopping Scott from walking into his own death. The blonde slammed her book shut, throwing it to the top of her bed before she jumped off of the bed to grab her jacket off of the desk chair. "Because we're going with him." She added with a smile, Isaac was right to assume that she wasn't going to let him go alone, not even if he was going against the very people who'd kidnapped her, this was Scott. She'd follow him no matter what the danger.
