The car ride home from Derek's loft was a silent one, Noelle sat in the passenger seat on the Jeep with her knees pulled up to her chest her head leaning against the window, refusing to utter a word. Particularly because there were no words in either her vocabulary or the dictionary that could describe the aching in her heart, the feeling of losing another friend right before her eyes, by the same werewolf. A phrase that the boy beside her often used repeated in her head, one's an accident, two's a coincidence, and three's a pattern, she was hoping that they didn't reach the pattern, she wasn't prepared to die, and she wasn't prepared to live without Cora. But it was hard to believe that Kali would stop at just two of them, she would continue until there was nobody left, not just those who had been in the vault, but every supernatural teenager the town had to offer. And that, that was a lot of them.

Isaac had been sitting in the back of the Jeep, just as silent as the girl in the passenger seat. He'd lost another best friend too, he'd been lucky enough not to have witnessed Erica's death, but he hadn't been so blessed tonight. While Noelle had lost two of the people she'd grown close to while trapped in the vault, Isaac had lost his pack mates. For a period of time, they were the only two people he could trust, the only friends he had in a rough patch of his life before he became closer to Scott and Noelle who had quickly earned the title of his best friend. He too couldn't find any words to describe the cold, dark feeling inside of him knowing that he was the only beta Derek had left, wondering if Kali would come for him too. Especially if Derek didn't agree to join the pack. As Kali threatened she would kill all of them next time, all of them.

Cole had been the one to do the dirty work of removing Boyd's deceased body from the loft, giving him a proper place of rest. Nobody else was strong enough, both physically and mentally. Cora was just as heartbroken, barely able to pull herself off of the dead wolf's body until Lydia had dragged her off, insisting that she needed to be somewhere else tonight. Originally, she'd been implying the wolf go to her bedroom, away from the scene of her friend's death, what she hadn't realized is that when she had implied that Cora received a different message. A message where Lydia was offering her a place to stay for the night. Once Lydia had realized what she'd done, she wasn't opposed to the idea of taking the wolf away from the loft, maybe she didn't know Cora well, but she knew if it were her, she'd want someone to take her away from here too.

Even if her first conversation with the wolf had been being threatened by her just this morning, she couldn't leave Cora here. If Noelle saw something in the angry Hale wolf, there had to be something more than just that typical Hale behavior there, something worthwhile.

Derek had been sitting in the same place where he had involuntary killed Boyd, still staring at the blood on his hands, refusing to move when the teenagers and Jennifer had left. Even she couldn't stay in the loft any longer than she already had. In fact, she'd been the first to leave after Kali and the twins. Nobody could blame her, the twins hadn't been gentle.
